Space supply chain brief 3 New satellite thrusters from ECAPS on the market in 2025 --- Supplier: ECAPS Supply chain update: ECAPS is bringing 4 new thruster products to market in 2025: 100 mN thruster, 5 N thruster, 22 N thruster, and bolt-on propulsion module “Orbital Force” to market in 2025. Here's a bit more information about each system: 🛰️ 100 mN thruster - the 100 mN thruster is in the sweet spot for 12-16U CubeSats with its high thrust-to-volume ratio – enabling high-performance, low-power propulsion making it competitive even with electric (high Isp) propulsion. 🛰️ 5 N thruster - the 5 N thruster enables high thrust delta-V maneuvers and apogee, reaction control, and proximity operations maneuvering for small-medium spacecraft. 🛰️ 22 N thruster - the 22 N thruster enables high thrust delta-V maneuvers and apogee, reaction control, and proximity operations maneuvering for medium-large spacecraft as well as kick stages and orbital tugs. 🛰️ Orbital Force - the Orbital Force “bolt-on” propulsion system is a versatile propulsion system, utilizing ECAPS' flight-proven 1 N thruster, capable of: > Constellation deployment and formation flights > Drag compensation and orbit maintenance > Orbital maneuvering and fine adjustments > Positioning of payloads and equipment > De-orbiting at the end of the mission As Wilhelm Dingertz, Product Development and Commercialization Manager at ECAPS, explains: "The propulsion system design is versatile, capable of integration with multiple present and future small satellite platforms and launchers on the market. The system is fueled with ECAPS’ flight-proven monopropellant LMP-103S which provides significantly increased performance and reduced hazards compared to monopropellant hydrazine." "This results in reduced handling costs and at least a 30% increase in delivered density impulse. Orbital Force can be loaded with LMP-103S and pressurized more than 10 years prior to launch without degradation, making it the ideal solution for responsive space capabilities." --- Find out more about ECAPS here on their satsearch portfolio: https://lnkd.in/eDRWn-Ph.
