🎉 Today marks 100 days since we began this exciting journey with Richard Zaltzman as our new CEO, leading the world’s largest and most dynamic food innovation community towards a bunch of thrilling projects on #RegenerativeFoodSystems! Over the past few weeks, Richard has been busy connecting with members of our community, fostering collaboration, and diving deep into how we can catapult innovation to revolutionise the #agrifood industry. Here's a couple of fantastic projects we've launched recently, with plenty more opportunities, programmes, and campaigns to come: 💡 Impact Funding Framework - If you’ve got an idea that will change #FoodSystems for the better, we want to fund it. 🌾 Regenerative Innovation Portfolio - A coalition of food innovation organisations building a sustainable future for farming in Europe through #RegenerativeAgriculture. None of these remarkable achievements would have been possible without the hard work of our #EITFoodCommunity. From the team at the ReFED Conference: "Food waste is a solvable problem, but it takes all of us." The key is finding the "highest and best use" for all food waste. The best part?! Solutions for food waste should (ideally) primarily benefit food insecure people. Some Takeaways from the panels and conference: 1) Collaboration poses challenges for 'legacy' food companies, yet it is essential and has clear economic, social, and planetary benefits 2) Shared language and resources can facilitate opportunity identification - let's all call the same foods, the same thing 3) Investment is currently sporadic and catching up with solutions 4) Current solutions rely on robust partnerships across non-profits, government bodies, startups, established companies, and consumers What's next? For me, it's creating systems that bolster collaboration across different silos of the food industry and streamlining the movement of edible food and excess inventory.

Morgane Yvergniaux further asserted on embracing a ‘holistic approach for territorial regenerative agriculture and highlighted the necessity to consider all environmental and social components to organize new projects. Collective intelligence is considered as an important lever to encourage the adoption of these new practices. 🌍 Dana Rakha-Michalon emphasized on the importance of measuring impact and driving collective investments at landscape level. ‘Aligning on a common set of metrics at ESG-level’ and 'creating opportunities for blended finance to fund collective landscape projects, connecting private and public actors’ is equally important to her as the transition to #regenerativeagriculture requires concerted efforts from all stakeholders. 🌿This round table co-animated with Pernod Ricard, OP2B and Danone was about shared commitment towards sustainable future, and how each one of us are laying the brick of change one by one!
