New programme alert! We're thrilled to launch our brand-new "Inclusive and Participatory Methods for Policy Making" programme this July. Inclusivity can sometimes take a back seat in policy discussions, with more immediate concerns such as economic stability, national security, and geopolitical interests taking centre stage. But a lack of emphasis on inclusivity is short-sighted: it can lead to policies that are ineffective, discriminatory, or even harmful to marginalised populations, exacerbating social exclusion and widening existing divides. We're hoping to change that by helping policymakers explore strategies and frameworks to incorporate inclusivity into policy formulation. We'll go through participatory methods and techniques that enhance stakeholder engagement and encourage community participation, and help you navigate real-world case studies of inclusive policymaking in action. Under the guidance of expert facilitators, participants will also take on a personalised project that will enable them to address specific challenges related to inclusivity in policymaking using theoretical and practical learnings from the programme. We hope you'll walk this new path with us. Check out the programme here: https://lnkd.in/gje5WZwt

🔴 The leaked Briefing Book of DG INTPA for the next European Commission shows a shocking turn toward prioritising competition and EU-centric interests! The multiple global crises faced by partner countries call for cooperation - not a race to exploit other countries' natural resources. ❌ DG INTPA's mandate is about supporting partner countries on their path to sustainable development, reducing poverty, and promoting human rights and equality… ...where are these priorities in the briefing for the next Commission? 🔊My message to the 26 designated European Commissioners 🇪🇺 who are facing their hearings at the European Parliament ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Building a stronger, more inclusive #Europe means prioritizing and investing in children. This includes ✅ equipping young generations with the skills to thrive in a digital world, ✅ creating a fair green transition with children’s needs at its core, and ✅ making sure vulnerable children in fragile contexts like wars and emergencies are able to access education, protection and healthcare. As we engage with #EU decision-makers, our message is clear: prioritize children today to create a better Europe for tomorrow. #ForEveryChild Glenn Micallef Maroš Šefčovič Magnus Brunner Hadja Lahbib Roxana Minzatu Wopke Hoekstra Marta Kos Jozef Sikela Kaja Kallas Michael McGrath Henna Virkkunen Jessika Roswall
