Blessings to you dear LinkedIn community, “May you gift yourself delicious and sacred idleness this festive season”. … You may know of dolce far niente - the sweetness of doing nothing. Sacred Idleness, its more serious cousin takes some work. We don’t just stumble across Sacred Idleness, but intentionally dedicate time and space for it. A time of rest, reflection, restoration and rejuvenation. It can take unlimited forms..you will discover what is right for you.. You may be drawn to go to a nearby park or to the mountains. To regulate. To gain perspective in the glory of nature. Maybe it will involve sitting silently in front of the fire. Encompassed by its warmth and security. Seeing the reflection of your mind in the changing, dancing flames. You literally may go on a retreat. Or digital detox. To reflect on what the year has meant to you. And what you would like to let go of. And what you wish to manifest. Maybe you just want to hang out at your favourite spot. And to contemplate resilience. Or to sit in joy. To feel the sensations of the sun and air on your skin. And give gratitude to all who and what you love. For some, you will want to meditate. Others will draw inspiration and solace from a book. Or a podcast. A conversation with the more-than-human world. Or it may be a dedicated 10 minutes to yourself. Between dinner courses or between juggling demands of the dog, children and Zoom calls with relatives. To not only ‘catch your breath’, but to sit there with it. To use a line from a Johnny Clegg and Savuka song. "It is a cruel crazy beautiful world'. May you gift yourself sacred idleness this festive season. And carry on this conscious practice as an ongoing commitment to your health and wellbeing. And may you gift yourself delicious idleness for the same reasons. 💚🥳💚🥳 Access the full blessing blog post below https://lnkd.in/ePZM-BA #sacredidleness #festiveblessings #freedomforall #PeopleAndPlanet

This Christmas, Hydration is the Key to Celebration The festive season is here—a time for family, friends, and making memories. But with all the excitement, it’s easy to overlook one simple yet powerful tool to keep the celebrations going strong: hydration. Here’s why staying hydrated is just as important as the gifts under the tree: 1. Energy to Celebrate: Between cooking, entertaining, and late-night conversations, dehydration can lead to fatigue. Water keeps your energy up for all the festivities. 2. Mood Booster: A hydrated body means a happier you! Dehydration can affect your mood and focus, so drink up to stay cheerful and present. 3. Balance After Indulgence: Holiday treats and a glass (or two) of wine are part of the fun, but they can dehydrate you. Make water your best companion to enjoy the season without the sluggishness. 4. Recover and Recharge: Whether it’s a day of gift wrapping or playing backyard cricket, water helps your body recover and stay ready for the next round of holiday fun. So, this Christmas, let hydration be your silent supporter. Carry a water bottle, add a festive twist with slices of citrus or berries, and encourage loved ones to stay hydrated, too. Cheers to a joyful and well-hydrated holiday season! #Christmas2024 #Hydration #Celebration #HealthAndHappiness

The festive season is here, and while we’re all excited about celebrations, delicious food and family gatherings, let’s take a moment to talk about something super important, our mental well-being! 🧠💖 We know it can get a bit overwhelming with all the planning and excitement. So, here are some easy tips to keep that stress in check while you enjoy the festivities: Keep It Real: No one’s expecting perfection. If something doesn’t go as planned, laugh it off! 😂 Me Time Matters: Amid the hustle and bustle, don’t forget to take a breather. Even a quick cup of chai ☕ or a stroll can do wonders. Chat It Out: Feeling a bit stressed? Talk to someone! Whether it’s a friend or a family member, sharing can really lighten the load. 🗣 Breathe and Chill: A few minutes of deep breathing or mindfulness can help you feel more grounded when things get chaotic. 🧘♀ Enjoy, But Don’t Overdo It: Treat yourself, but remember moderation is key. Your body will thank you later! 🍽 Let’s make this festive season not just about lights and laughter, but also about being kind to ourselves and each other. If you ever feel overwhelmed, it’s totally okay to reach out for help. 🤝 So, here's to a joyful and mindful festive season! 🌈✨ #MentalHealthMatters #FestiveVibes #SelfCare
