Dreaming of the skies? Here’s what it takes to become a pilot! We often get asked about what it takes to become a pilot, and while the journey can be extensive and tailored to your aspirations, here’s a concise guide to get you started: Start with a private pilot license (PPL): Begin with basic training that includes ground school and flight hours. Your PPL is the foundation upon which all other licenses and ratings are built. Accumulate flight hours: The number of flight hours required varies based on the license you’re aiming for, from private to commercial and beyond. Essential skills and qualities: Successful pilots possess a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Ongoing learning: The aviation field is always evolving. Staying updated with the latest regulations, technologies, and flight techniques is crucial. Becoming a pilot is both challenging and incredibly rewarding. It demands dedication, training, and a true passion for aviation. Ready to take off? We’re here to answer any questions and support you on your journey. #FlightTraining #Flying #AviationTraining #PilotLife #DurhamRegion #Oshawa #Bowmanville #Whitby #Ajax #Scugog #DurhamFlightCentre #CPL #CommercialPilot #AviationCareers

“ Is it dangerous to practice force landing when approaching the ground? Is it worth it to get so close to the earth? “ We start with a question from one of the pilots: The flight master has asked me to make simulated force landings alarmingly close to the ground. He says we need to be sure that I can correctly execute the sequence of actions to the field I want. I think this will cause an accident. Who is right?" I'm a big believer in realistic training, but clearly the reward versus risk isn't great in this case. If you want to demonstrate a forced landing effectively, do it on the runway. I have heard of too many accidents caused by a master pilot lowering altitude for a student in a forced landing demonstration. There is nothing wrong with practicing on the runway and completing the landing. If you really want to add realism, use ribbon or strips of grass. Consider distractions when demonstrating this maneuver. A lot happens during a forced landing, and maybe the master pilot forgoes a little scanning of the environment outside the plane in favor of the lesson. Focus is very important, but never lose sight of the big picture. where am i And what outside of the plane might hurt me? Choosing a forced landing (practice) site wisely will help you minimize unnecessary risks at the same time. I was taught that all these simulations, which are sometimes too many and even cause accidents, must be completed within 500 feet. It seems necessary to note this height. By the way, when the engine of the plane fails, depending on the skills and flight experience of the pilot, he will forget everything from his name to his birth certificate number, how can he remember many details. #Airport #178rules #check_list #control #poh #performance #emergancy #safety #demonstrate #force_landing #force #approach #experience #engine #accidents #Emergency_Procedures #navigation #fly #safetyfirst #training #simulate #focus #homan_ardakanian #pilot #pilots #workload #crash #pilottraining #approach #runway #flighttraining #aviation #airlinepilot #altitude #flight_instructor #captain #runway #aerodrom #aviationnews #aviationjobs #aviationsafety #dangers #lowering_altitude #safetymanagement #exam #rule #Elnaz_Chelongar #Echo_Charlie89 #الناز_چلونگر

Backseating I vividly remember reading principle of flight (Helicopters) and skimming through the R66 pilot operations handbook and asking questions of the pilots with little cohesion but some worthy understanding right before I attended helicopter ground school. Backseating whilst seeking to make memories of this flights brought together the necessary dots that need to be connected for reinforcement in learning. It helped form the building blocks of knowledge on what the pilot experience is over time; as I prepare for a career as a helicopter pilot and equally help aviation enthusiast and geeks pursue their desired career in aviation. Reflecting on my experiences, I recognize the value of collaboration in learning, especially in the aviation field. Learning alongside peers not only reinforces knowledge but also simplifies the process significantly. Equally showing how easier its gets to learn as part of a group. In the video below, I took a leap of faith and captured inflight coverage of two student pilots in the final phase of their ab-initio training conducting a dual flight. The video highlights the Pilot Flying (PF) on the right and the Pilot Monitoring (PM) on the left, showcasing the crucial roles each plays in ensuring a safe and efficient flight. #Aviation #HelicopterPilot #LearningInPairs #FlightTraining
