Meet Paola Arango Ponton, PhD, Chemical Research Scientist at Voyex. On a daily basis, Paola is optimizing the chemistry of the Voyex LOHC production process. The raw materials for the Voyex LOHC can be derived from recycled plastic and residual flows of biomass. Paola is making the production process as clean and efficient as possible by minimizing waste, and thereby also pushes down the costs and (already minimal) carbon footprint of our LOHC. In this video, Paola is moving the continuous synthesis installation into our new lab space, where multiple liters of LOHC are produced each day. This expansion signifies a new step on our growth path. In parallel, we are preparing our Voyex 2 installation, a de-hydrogenation unit with an output of 30-80 kW. This pilot unit is expected to be available by the end of 2024/ Q1 2025. Stay tuned for updates on our progress! #hydrogen #H2 #ZeroEmissionFuture

🌿 What is the potential of #biomass-based negative emissions technologies? Learn more by participating in #EUBCE2024 Plenary Session CP2 "Capturing the future: What lies ahead for biobased carbon removals" on Wednesday 26 June at 13.45-14.45. This special session, chaired by Ennio Prizzi, Bioenergy Europe and presented by Johan Börje, Stockholm Exergi, Simon Staufer, neustark and Vincent QUÉAU, Haffner Energy will present possible pathways to achieve a carbon market that is consistent, standardised, and transparent, ensuring that all available solutions receive equal support to become successful market actors. Specifically, the potential of three different CDR methodologies will be explored: Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (#BECCS), Biochar Carbon Removal (#BCR) and #biogenicCO2 capture in demolished concrete aggregate.
