No need to panic it is just science fiction. No…wait! TEKEVER, a European leader in unmanned aerial systems have just announced their new ARX drone will be able to carry and deploy multiple drones remotely for both security and civilian tasks. What is more is this system will b e commercially available by 2025 and be able to carry multiple payloads types up to 600KG in weight. A Drone as First Responder (DFR) program is a modern approach to emergency response that uses drones to enhance the safety and efficiency of public safety agencies and the community. Airspace Link is leaning in. Some main objectives of a DFR program are: Increase situational awareness: Drones provide real-time information during in-progress incidents. They give officials an eye on the incident from a safe distance to gather information and assist them with making sound tactical decisions. Improve outcomes: The use of drones helps to slow the response down to buy valuable time and provide officers/firefighters with distance and shielding between themselves and an area or person of interest. Improve safety: By providing a bird’s eye view of the situation, drones can help identify potential hazards, such as structural damage or hazardous materials, that may pose a risk to firefighters. Drone swarms involve coordinated groups of #autonomous #drones working together to accomplish a variety of tasks efficiently and effectively. Due to their versatility and scalability the civil applications range from #disaster response to #agriculture and entertainment. In order to enable the safe operation of these collaborative operating #UAS, the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS official ) have presented the concept for a technical "Management of Multiple Simultaneous UA Flight Operations (MSO)", which is intended to provide the basis for a higher-level control system in order to be able to safely deploy a coordinated or independently flying formation of drones or even jointly operating manned and unmanned systems.
