Pushing My Limits: Conquering Doubts and Hills  Last Sunday, I took on a challenge that pushed me beyond my comfort zone: a 70-mile bike ride around the very hilly Isle of Wight. As a novice road cyclist, every pedal stroke felt like a victory, especially on those never-ending and sometimes very daunting inclines. Throughout the journey, I battled with self-doubt. But in those moments of uncertainty, I drew inspiration from two remarkable women I have known for many years and also have the privilege of running with. Despite being over two decades my senior, their energy and determination know no bounds. They effortlessly tackled the hills that left me breathless, yet they never hesitated to offer encouragement and support all the way. Their resilience reminded me of a crucial lesson: age is truly just a number. It's the passion, determination, and unwavering belief in oneself that propel us forward, regardless of the obstacles we face. This experience reaffirmed the importance of surrounding ourselves with individuals who inspire us to push beyond our limits. Whether in sports or business, having a supportive community makes all the difference. They not only motivate us to strive for greatness but also remind us that with dedication and perseverance, we're capable of achieving anything. Here's to embracing challenges, conquering doubts, and finding strength in the remarkable people who light our path. This week, I had an experience that left me reflecting on the value of courage and taking initiative. Had an emergency and in a rush to get to my destination, I decided to take a cab. Two people approached me to join. By offering them a ride, I saved them the cost and thought little more of it. Later in the week, I found myself stranded in heavy rain and traffic with no cabs in sight. When one finally arrived, someone else took it, heading in my direction. I couldn’t help but think back to the time I had helped others in a similar situation. 😅😅 Would this person offer me a ride in return? As I waited, I hoped for a gesture of reciprocity, but it didn’t come, at least for my recent “good”.😅 I realized I had to take the initiative myself. Gathering my courage, I approached him and asked if I could join. To my relief, he agreed, and what started as a simple ride turned into a new friendship. The key lesson here is that while we may hope for rewards for our past kindness, they often don't come unless we actively seek them out. Tenacity and courage to make the first move can unlock opportunities and rewards beyond what we anticipate.👌🏼 Sometimes, taking that first step is all it takes to turn a challenging situation into a positive outcome. How often do you catch yourself saying "I have to" when talking about daily tasks or responsibilities? Shifting our perspective from "I have to" to "I get to" can make a world of difference in how we approach each day. For example...
