#ICYMI This thin film, inspired by a natural phenomenon called passive radiative cooling, enables 24/7 supplemental cooling and saves energy costs when integrated with building refrigeration and HVAC systems. 🆒 The 3M Passive Radiative Cooling Film can also be applied to surfaces like bus shelter roofs and modular data centers to passively cool them during the day and at night. Check out the video as Jacob breaks down how this all works! 💡 #goodnews #climatetech #film

🚗💨 Optimizing Parking Garage Ventilation: Key Criteria to Follow! 🌬️ When designing an effective parking garage ventilation system, several essential factors ensure safety, comfort, and compliance! Here’s a quick checklist: 1️⃣ Ventilation Space: Define the minimum cross-sectional area and ideal airflow rate. 2️⃣ Airflow Requirements: Match airflow with location and seasonal needs. 3️⃣ Ventilation Equipment: Choose equipment for optimal air movement and contamination control. 4️⃣ Supply & Exhaust Points: Position supply and exhaust points effectively to ensure balanced airflow. 5️⃣ Air Filters: Select air filters for cleaner air across the parking area. 6️⃣ Fans & Ducts: Pick fans and ducts that meet flow rate and direction standards. 7️⃣ Controls: Integrate smart controls for reliable, energy-efficient operations. 8️⃣ End System Tests: Validate the design with rigorous testing for best performance! And remember, factors like carbon monoxide concentration, air age, and human comfort make a huge impact. 🌍 CFD analysis by TCAE is a top tool for creating optimal designs! We can observe the following: Typical Air conditioners (AC) consume a power of 1000W Where as, one LED light consumes 10W. So the power consumption of one “urban home with AC” is same as 50-100 “village huts” with basic lighting facility 😧😧.
