Elder and Disabled Care Capital Raises in the U.S. - October 16th-31st, 2024 Some interesting transactions closed in the Elder and Disabled Care sector over the past two weeks. The Laurels of Goshen, operator of nursing and rehabilitation center intended to promote care and quality of life to their clients was acquired by Euson Lindsay Health. The acquisition expands Euson Lindsay Health's portfolio of skilled nursing communities. 2. Druid City Vital Care, operator of a specialized pharmacy was acquired by Mr. Ryan McFerrin, Mr. Logan Davis, Inlet Capital Management and its management, through an LBO. The transaction was supported by debt financing. 3. Hope Home Care, provider of in-home skilled nursing services was acquired by LiveWell, via its financial sponsor BPEA Private Equity, through an LBO. The transaction will allow LiveWell Partners to expand its footprint in Ohio, which is a market key to the company's growth strategy. Later Stage VC 4. Yesterday InStride Health announced the closing of a $30 million Series B funding round and I couldn’t be more proud. The growth of the company pales in comparison to the growth of each individual who is a part of this. I thought I’d take a moment to share how we’ve grown as people along the way of 0-500 patients. 1.) We learned that perfectionism slows us down and prevents our treatment from reaching more kids, faster. We’ve learned to focus on the stuff that matters, and to leave the rest behind. 2.) We learned that our culture is the heartbeat of the company and goes beyond virtual yoga and coffee chats, it’s in the way we talk to eachother, engage in debate, manage our emotions, and challenge eachother everyday. 3.) We learned that companies aren’t built for teamwork and if we want to succeed, we have to focus on building our teamwork muscles and work together toward the common goals. 4.) We learned that the needs of our patients and families are constantly changing and we need to stay curious, be nimble, and always be willing to step out of our comfort zone if it’s in the best interest of our patients and families. I am challenged immensiley on a daily basis and am so proud that InStride Health will NEVER settle for the the status quo. PACE Healthcare Capital says it's "not a unicorn hunter" as it gears up for another fundraise. The fund has not yet received capital commitments, but PACE said it does not expect the fundraise to last more than a year, according to documents submitted to the US SEC.
