If you’re a pet owner who is hitting the highway for a road trip, chances are that your pet is coming along for the ride. Pets can be fun co-pilots, and taking a few extra steps before and during your trip can ensure that everyone has a safe, fun drive! 🐕 If this is your pet’s first road trip, take them on a few shorter trips first to see how they adjust and react to riding in the car. 🚙 Be sure that you have the proper equipment to keep your pet secured and safe while riding in your vehicle. Depending on your pet’s size, you’ll want to investigate what kind of restraint, crate or carrier is best. 🦴 Pack extra supplies, including water, blankets, toys, food, medications, leashes and waste disposal supplies. 🐕🦺 Try to stop every two to three hours to let your pet get a drink of water, some exercise and a chance to relieve themselves. 🏩 When it comes to staying overnight, remember to choose locations that are pet-friendly. Not all hotels permit pets in their rooms, so plan ahead. Happy travels! #DrivingSafelyWithPets #livelifewevegotthis

Traveling for #Thanksgiving and need to bring your #Pet along for the ride? Here’s how to make the journey stress-free and fun for everyone! 1. Pack Essentials: Bring food, water, bowls, toys, a bed/blanket, waste bags, and any meds your pet may need. Don’t forget their ID tags and vet records! 👜 2. Safety First: Use a pet seatbelt, carrier, or travel crate to keep them secure while driving. Never let your pet roam freely in the car. ⛑️ 3. Frequent Breaks: Stop every two to three hours for potty breaks, water, and a chance to stretch. It helps prevent restlessness and keeps them comfortable. 🥤 4. Know Pet-Friendly Stops: Research pet-friendly hotels, parks, and rest areas along your route to ensure you have plenty of safe places to stop. 🐾 With the right prep, your pet can enjoy the holiday adventure as much as you do! #PetTravel #ThanksgivingRoadTrip #PetsAndAnimalsTips

For some pet parents, a trip is no fun if the four-legged members of the family can’t come along. But traveling can be highly stressful, both for you and your pets. If you’re planning to take a trip with pets in tow, we have some tips to help ensure a safe and comfortable journey for everyone. Remember, no matter where you’re headed or how you plan to get there, make sure your pet is microchipped for identification and wears a collar and tag imprinted with your name, phone number and any relevant contact information. It’s a good idea for your pet’s collar to also include a temporary travel tag with your cell phone and destination phone number for the duration of your trip. Traveling by plane? Unless your furry friend is small enough to ride under your seat, it’s best to avoid air travel with your pets. If you must bring your pet along on the flight, here are a few suggestions to keep your pet safe while flying the friendly skies. https://lnkd.in/gVZyBvsc

Dear Joulupukki (Santa), For this new year that is coming, I want families to stop being separated. 🎄 I want airlines to rethink the services they offer to pet owners, which don’t answer the current needs. 🎄 I want airlines to be more inclusive, not just for those needing an emotional support pet, but to let all families Flytogether with their beloved pets. 🎄 I want airlines to stop obligating families to put their beloved cats/dogs in cargo because they do not allow pets in cabin or because of size conditions. 🎄 I want airlines to embrace fully what being pet-friendly is and improve their pet policies so that animals aren’t treated anymore as luggage, but as sentient beings and family members. ✈️ Every year more families choose to include a dog or a cat in the core of their family. Travelling and how we spend the holidays shouldn't be any different. 🐾 In the gentle presence of animals, we become more human, more empathetic, more present, more attuned to the simple profound beauty of being alive. Bon Nadal! Hyvää Joulua! Felices Fiestas! Merry Christmas! PS. Normalizing what should be normal for all of us (a bunch of pics I found on Google where pets fly in cabin) #aviation #petairtravel #PetTravelIndustry #travellingwithpets #petincabin
