Expect the unexpected! Working with Welcome Break to create video content for their annual conference, we added a bit of extra magic by printing a comic using video stills that can be kept, shared and enjoyed by colleagues long after the event. Annual conferences are vital opportunities to get the organisation together but potentially can be a bit dry. Video content grabs your audience's attention from the get-go and encourages engagement 👀 Here we worked on a concept that would inject fun and energy, and create a sense of anticipation at the start of their conference, whilst showing the human side of the leadership team and showcasing what makes the business unique. Think: opening credits of Grange Hill - anyone remember the flying sausage? 🌭 Instead for the Welcome Break video we followed the team across multiple locations as they assembled for the annual conference and overcame the odd bump in the road to get there! The comic we then put together was unexpected and not part of the original brief but we saw an opportunity to add a bit of extra sparkle, bring the concept to life and create a memento from the experience 📰 If you want to know what other little surprises we have up our sleeve, visit our website: www.dmbfilms.co.uk. #VideoContent #InternalComms #AnnualConference #Engagement #LeadershipTeam #EmployeeEngagement #MemorableMoment

We came across this Fast Company article "3 Fail-Proof Tips for Giving a Presentation Like a Pro", brilliantly written by Mike Schnaidt featuring insights from a sommelier, a costume designer, and a marathon runner. The title alone grabbed our attention, almost like the start of a great joke! No one just wakes up as a perfect presenter. When I came across the Fast Company article "3 Fail-Proof Tips for Giving a Presentation Like a Pro" recently, it was refreshing to see valuable advice from such diverse contributors—a costume designer, a sommelier, a marathon runner, and the author himself Mike Schnaidt. Despite their differences, they each offered valuable insights based on their experiences giving high-stakes presentations. Check out the full article for more fantastic tips here: https://lnkd.in/ghFKt68p. Not everyone will have the chance to keynote at a well-attended conference or be interviewed on a popular talk show, but I do not doubt that everyone presents regularly, whether they realize it or not. For those reasons alone, you owe it to yourself (and your audience) not to "wing it," lose years of your life stressing over it or spend hours you don't have perfecting slides for it. I'd love to help you with your next presentation. Let’s face it. If people don’t get what you do, the rest doesn’t matter. You can have the best service, the slickest strategy, or the most polished process, but if you're bumbling over your words to explain your value… you’ll lose your audience fast. We often get so tangled in the details that we overlook the basics. And the #1 basic you need? A clear, simple way to describe what you do. That’s why I’m hosting a StoryBrand One-Liner Workshop today at 2 PM EST. Let’s create an elevator pitch that grabs attention and gives people a reason to care. Register here and let’s get back to basics that work. 👇 https://lnkd.in/eSWUtVMz
