To keep your accounts secure do the following; - Use passwords that are long, unique, and hard to guess. - Aim for at least 16 characters and mix up numbers, letters, and symbols. - If you struggle to generate strong passwords utilize your devices 'Password Manager" to generate new passwords and store existing ones. A study by Kaspersky, a cybersecurity firm, shows that scammers can guess nearly 45% of passwords in under a minute. Researchers analyzed 193 million English passwords and found that 87 million could be quickly cracked, while only 23% would take over a year to break. Kaspersky recommends using unique passwords for each service and avoiding easily guessable info like birthdays and names. Their data revealed 32 million attempts to steal passwords in 2023, emphasizing the need for strong digital habits.
