Distributor Post’s Post

🥃 $55,000 Per bottle! 🍸 🔹 The Glenlivet, the oldest legal distillery in the Scottish Highlands, recently revealed a remarkable addition to their lineup to mark their 200th anniversary—the Glenlivet Eternal Collection, First Edition, 55-Year-Old #Scotch. Priced at $55,000, this release is the distillery’s oldest scotch expression, aged for over five decades in a seasoned sherry cask, resulting in an intricately layered flavor profile and an exceptionally long finish. 🔹 This ultra-premium offering includes only 100 bottles for purchase. One bespoke bottle will be auctioned at Sotheby’s between October 18 and November 1, alongside a custom-designed sculpture by computational architect Michael Hansmeyer. The proceeds from this auction will benefit the National Trust for #Scotland. Further releases from the anniversary series will follow annually, with each subsequent bottle slightly older than the last, all derived from the same cask. 🔹 For distributors and salespeople in the alcoholic beverage industry, staying informed about such high-profile releases is crucial. Understanding premium offerings like this one, alongside industry innovations, helps professionals cater to discerning clients and remain competitive. As Glenlivet’s Cask Master, Kevin Balmforth, expressed, the Eternal Collection represents not only a monumental moment in scotch history but also the brand’s dedication to pushing creative boundaries in single malts. 🔹 The attention to detail extends to the packaging as well. The special edition bottles are encased in a sculptural glass container, designed by Hansmeyer, which draws inspiration from the Scottish Highlands and the River Livet. With hand-sculpted jesmonite and rose-gold plating, this release is as much a visual masterpiece as it is a celebration of Scotch whisky craftsmanship.
