Today, I'm happy to announce that Traun Leyden and has decided to join Hyperlint as a co-founder to help rid the world of toil in technical documentation. Let's talk about how we got here.... My friend Jason Pohl shared a quote with me about a year ago when I started on my solopreneur journey. "𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙜𝙤 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙧, 𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧." When I started working on Hyperlint, I didn't know if it would work. I didn't know if it would go *anywhere*, let alone far. With time and traction that changed - customers and prospects see the value. I saw a larger and larger opportunity and I thought back to the quote. "𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙜𝙤 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙧, 𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧." Being a word nerd, I explored the etymology of the quote. An early mention I found from nearly a 100 years ago is in the screenshot. While not the exact quote itself, it captures the spirit. "𝙎𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙧 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢, 𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢." Lyrical, the quote struck a cord. Hyperlint is not promised success but the feedback from our users and customers means we're onto something. I see a larger opportunity than I can achieve alone and pulling with a team is the way to go. After working together for a while, Traun Leyden and I realized that our values are aligned in - the business we want to try and build, - the way in which we want to build it, and - how we serve our customers.
