Digital Wellness Day reposted this
My dad raved all the way home about this session. You are indeed impacting lives with the gospel of Digital Wellness Edith Utete Loveness Nleya
Digital Wellness Day. . I find myself reflecting on how far we have come as Digital Wellness Africa. Our journey started with an idea hatched in May 2014 and ten years later we have not only changed name and structure a few times but we have found more depth and meaning in the work that we love so so dearly. By the way, my Co Founder Loveness Nleya and I celebrate our birthdays in May, so this year's birthday celebrations will be extra special in a number of ways. The latest adventure we had at #teXpo24 at the invitation of the texpoafrica Telco Broadband and Beyond Learning Factory Strategic Outcomes teams brought an opportunity for us to meet, connect with and impact people from the City of Kings and Queens, Bulawayo. Again coincidentally, Loveness and I both grew up in Bulawayo and we felt right at home. During the three day event we shared various digital wellness and digital citizenship tips and resources but the best part was having deep conversations about real life tech related issues. We also enjoyed moments of reflection and celebration as participants were able to see how much they stand to benefit from being intentional about their relationship with their devices and digital media. After all is said and done no matter how old we are or where in the world we are placed, digital wellness is a concept that we can no longer place as an afterthought. Our ability to thrive and bloom in the digital age depends on how mindful we are of the impact of being always connected (and disconnected at the exact same time). This Digital Wellness Day please share what digital wellness means to you. #digitalwellnessday #digitalcitizens #cybersmart #selfcare #productivity
