This includes use of virtual cards, physical cards, store signage and merchant partnerships. The role requires expertise in retail store payments or point of sale terminals, as well as a strong ability to lead product discovery activities to figure out where to go next. You will play a pivotal role in the future growth of Zip. You will be responsible for defining feature requirements, prioritizing projects, and partnering with engineering to get enhancements built. Interesting problems you’ll get to solve Define and drive product strategy for the Zip’s in-store product(s), ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs. Partner with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and delivery that meets both internal and external customer needs. Dive deep into data to analyze experiment results, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve product performance and outcomes. Interview customers and merchants to identify pain points and needs around the Zip in-store experience. Create a roadmap for the future of in-store BNPL, and gain executive buy-in. Always start your pitch off by referencing you have read the job description and letting the hiring manager know…. “After reviewing the job description, it seems to me and I could be wrong that you are looking for a product manager to help with x, y, and z and as you can see from my resume, I have x, y, z experience.” Now go back to the hiring manager’s LinkedIn profile and throw in a few messages in your pitch that can tie you to them such as common school, interests, and/or mutual connections. There is simply too much friction reading a resume right now, so the best way for you to land interviews is by direct message on LinkedIn BUT LET ME BE CRYSTAL CLEAR. You still have to mass apply, because when companies ask you if you have applied yet in the portal and you say no then you have to start from scratch. It’s a lot of work I know and it sucks, but you got to do it. In 2025 mark my words at the rate AI is moving you will all by interviewing with holograms. I am not joking at all. There will be AI recruiting software that will sort, sift, screen (oh yes interview you), and schedule the second round interview. This is why I am telling everybody to land this job as soon as possible and to start a brand (more on that later), but for now you need to deliver a more impactful message to pitch your resume.
