Hello, user_name! The Pentagon is testing AI for the U.S. Army. 🤝According to DefenseScoop company data, the U.S. Department of Defense has entered into a contract with the AI startup Scale AI. Its task is to create tools for testing and evaluating the performance of large language models capable of analyzing and generating text. 🌐 This involves a comprehensive platform that will allow the Pentagon to deeply and thoroughly study the capabilities of neural networks. It will provide feedback for the military and generate special test data to assess AI in specific tasks, such as analyzing reconnaissance data, planning operations, and processing reports from hotspots. 📈 Neural networks can significantly accelerate the processing of incoming intelligence information and strategic decision-making. If you haven't checked them out already, the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office is doing some interesting work building out capabilities for the United States Department of Defense. According to the article, "Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks established the temporary task force in August 2023 within the Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO) to ultimately help the Department of Defense assess, synchronize and employ generative AI". The article from DefenseScoop outlined how TF Lima's Commander shared the three big ways they're thinking about integrating AI to the DoD: 1. "Generating and summarizing text and documents, which...sounds boring but is very useful for military personnel." 2. "Interrogate and analyze applicable data" 3. "...conversing with your machines" (e.g. "as a fighter pilot, imagine if you could just tell your display what you want to see") Hathr AI works with industry who want to bring value to clients, and Federal Clients who want to speed up processes and bring down costs.
