☘ St. Patrick’s Day ☘ always heralds the arrival of fine weather and new beginnings.  It’s no coincidence then, that I was Spring cleaning not only my home, but my LinkedIn profile recently. I got to thinking about the art of storytelling through poems and song and its importance in Irish (and other) cultures, to pass on beliefs, customs and history, long before they were ever written down. Storytelling is still a powerful tool in business and in social contexts to engage your audience, and distinguish yourself. Let's face it, who's is most likely to convince you: someone who rattled off the specifications of their product/service, or someone who tells a story about a problem they solved? While the “limerick” is thought to originate in England and date back to the early 18th century, this mischievous 5-line rhyme was a powerful tool at the time to pass on simple messages. So in the spirit of new beginnings, and just for ☘ St. Patrick's day ☘, a Profile Summary, tongue-in-cheek, with a twist of a limerick;): With ☘ St. Patrick’s Day☘ around the corner, A post on LinkedIn, that indeed could be shorter;), A Paddy’s Day-treat, Hold on to your seat. If anything, it could bring you laughter.   There once was a woman from Clare, Growing companies, she did her fair share, From Operations to Sales, She landed some “whales”, While leading her teams with true care.   From the Emerald Isle she did hail, Challenges in France, then Belgium to scale, Language Services, her playground, With M&A deals abound, Oh, could she tell quite a tale!   This dynamic mother of two, Embarked her whole crew, with luck, the whole team was onboard A balancing act, To make an impact But to her team and herself she stayed true.   More than 20 years in Loc biz she’d confide, Taking change & innovation in her stride, A new adventure is now, Ready to share her know-how, Perhaps our interests will collide.   One of her passions was rugby 🏉 , this wonderful sport, Munster and Ireland🇮🇪 , she was proud to support, On this St. Patrick’s weekend, The Six Nations, she’d spend, Hoping their opponents, they’d thwart.   So ☘ 🇮🇪 💚 Happy St. Patrick’s ☘ on this lovely day green, Today of all days, you can go make a scene, With your Leprechaun regalia, Nothing can fail ya! With the luck of the Irish, feel free to dream💚💚!! Photo: The Burren, Co. Clare Credits : Blaise Duchemin
