Awesome video and great topic! It’s also important to highlight that the wildlife conservation sector is growing and there are more and more opportunities for folks who have degrees in more “traditional” fields like finance, economics, marketing, engineering. There’s roles in project management, Human Resources, accounting, data analysis - so folks with careers in these sectors can jump straight across to the conservation industry and make a big impact in roles they may already be very familiar with.

Subject: Concerns Regarding the Impact of Park Entry Fee Increase and Travel Inefficiencies Between Maasai Mara and Serengeti Jambo Madam CS, I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding two critical issues currently affecting the tourism sector in our country. Firstly, the recent decision by the Narok County government to double the park entry fee is likely to have dire consequences for the tourism industry nationwide. This increase will disproportionately impact the micro-economy and the small community-owned camps and lodges, which play a vital role in sustaining local tourism. The potential for job losses is significant, which could have a devastating effect on the livelihoods of many Kenyans. It is disheartening to observe that such a decision was made without adequate consultation with all relevant stakeholders. I urge your office to engage with Narok County officials to reconsider this fee hike and ensure that future decisions are made with a more inclusive approach. Secondly, I would like to bring to your attention the challenges faced by tourists traveling between the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti. Currently, it is necessary for tourists to take at least three flights to move between these two renowned wildlife destinations, despite the fact that they share a common border. This situation is particularly ironic given that the wildebeest can migrate freely across this border, yet tourists are burdened by unnecessary travel obstacles. This inefficiency not only diminishes the experience for tourists but also represents a missed opportunity for cross-border tourism growth. I propose the establishment of a border crossing that would allow for easier movement between Kenya and Tanzania, similar to the seamless crossing at Victoria Falls between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Such an initiative could significantly enhance the attractiveness of our region as a prime tourist destination. I believe that addressing these issues promptly will contribute greatly to the sustainability and growth of our tourism sector. I look forward to your favorable consideration of these matters. Thank you so much and hope this concerned will be addressed. You can kindly reach out to me on +254729788207 or Info@sceatravels.com
