It's more urgent than ever for philanthropy to stand up for trans communities. This #TransAwarenessWeek, we're resharing these tips from Gabriel Foster of the Trans Justice Funding Project: 🏳️⚧️ Fund trans justice organizations working locally as well as nationally. 🏳️⚧️ Fund groups with and without 501(c)(3) status — the Trans Justice Funding Project does this by maintaining both a collective action fund at Tides Foundation and a non-charitable trust. 🏳️⚧️ Fund groups in the middle — established groups that are too large for some funders but aren’t large enough for others. 🏳️⚧️ Remember that trans justice and liberation is also racial justice, migrant justice, economic justice, disability justice, gender justice, and so much more.
