Connections mean nothing without conversations! Sippers, It’s wild how many people connect on LinkedIn but never actually meet. We build these networks, yet miss out on the real value of genuine connection. Meeting someone—whether in person or virtually—can change your life. Research shows that 85% of jobs come from networking. And meeting someone increases the chances of forming a lasting connection by 34 times. As Bill Nye said, “A person is a person, no matter how small.” Everyone has something valuable to offer, and that starts with a conversation. So, if you want to connect, let’s actually meet! Build those connections now—you never know how one conversation can change your path. ♻️Share if you care! #humanconnections #networking

Ever reach out on LinkedIn and get 'radio silence' in return? As someone who receives more than 200 connection requests daily on LinkedIn, here is my take on common networking mistakes might be holding you back. ↳Network at all levels. Don’t just focus on those in higher positions; peers and newcomers can offer valuable insights too. ↳Build relationships consistently. Avoid only reaching out when you need something. Networking is a long game. ↳Understand others’ needs first—networking is about mutual value, not just self-promotion/self-serving. ↳ Instead of connecting with everyone, focus on people relevant to your goals and industry. ↳Give before you ask. Show interest, offer help, or share insights before expecting favours. ↳Send a personal message when you invite someone to connect. I usually repond to those. These simple shifts can make a big difference in building authentic, lasting connections! 🔔 Follow me #networking

Have you ever felt nervous about reaching out to people in your network? You're not alone 🤝 The fear of being judged or worrying about how others perceive you can be overwhelming. But here's what I've learned: 1. Be genuine: People value authenticity. When you're honest about your goals and intentions, it resonates. 2. Focus on value: Think about what you bring to the table. Networking is a two-way street, and offering insight or help makes the conversation more balanced. 3. Reframe rejection: If someone doesn’t respond or isn't interested, it’s not a reflection of your worth. Everyone's busy, and not every connection will be the right fit. Building meaningful relationships takes time, but staying true to yourself makes the process easier. Let’s keep growing and supporting each other.💪🏼💯 Share your tips on how you overcome your fear and concern about reaching out to people. I will be in the comment section. 👌 Let's inspire each other. 😍 #Networking #ProfessionalGrowth #VirtualAssistantJourney #LinkedInTips

People appreciate sincerity over scripted interactions (and no one wants to feel like they're talking to a robot). 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞: Engage in active listening. Understanding others' needs and interests fosters stronger connections (plus, it's a great way to learn new things without having to Google them). 𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: Offer help, share insights, or connect people within your network. Giving before receiving builds trust (and makes you the unofficial superhero of your circle). 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐔𝐩: Keep the conversation going. A simple follow-up message can turn a brief interaction into a lasting relationship (and prevent that awkward "who are you again?" moment). 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: Networking is an ongoing process. Regularly reach out to your network, not just when you need something (no one likes a fair-weather friend, right?). Remember, your network is your net worth. Invest in it wisely! #Networking #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerTips #BuildRelationships

“Networking works for extroverts. I’m not an extrovert, ergo, I won’t network.” If this concept resonates with you, read on. Introverts or extroverts, we are all social animals who function best in groups. Try reframing networking as “meeting new people.” Focus less on how you feel entering a networking event and more on asking questions and listening to the responses from one or two people. That’s it. You’ll leave the event feeling better because you’ve satisfied a fundamental human need: connection. You don’t need to connect with everyone, only a select few. To learn more about networking for introverts, I share more tips in the article you can find linked in Comments. What advice do you have for networking? The new low in professional networking is sending, “Hi, how are you?” to stay on top of someone's mind without any intention of continuing the conversation. Some people say it’s a good way to keep connections warm without much effort in our busy schedules, but I think it’s a piss poor approach to networking. 😒 If you don’t plan to follow through, why even bother with a “Hi, how are you?” Instead, share a meme, an article you think they’d find interesting, or a picture that reminded you of them. This shows thoughtfulness and shows that you’ve taken the time to consider what they might enjoy, rather than just sending an empty greeting and leaving them hanging. Have you received any "Hi, how are you(s) recently?" #networking #professional #copywriter #badhabit
