Hi Bodil, great post. You could also add to your two lessons learned a third: Be cautious (=never) conduct significant work unknown to your team and managers. They might not see it even if they might appreciate it if they knew about it. I've seen tons of cases where people are doing excellent work unrecognised by others. And that is dangerous when management evaluate organisation and individuals. So, tell about what you do and why you think it is of value.

Sometimes, it’s about taking something that exists and making it better, faster, or more accessible. It can be as straightforward as asking, “Why not?” Take the tech realm, for instance. Some of the most exciting, groundbreaking apps and tools we use today emerged from minds that spotted a problem and thought, “I can fix that.” Minds that were not satisfied with the ordinary. Every significant advancement began with someone willing to think differently, to ask questions that others might shy away from. But innovation isn’t confined to technology. It’s woven into the fabric of our lives.
