GNT Group has launched an independent investment firm called GNT Ventures that will invest in plant-based coloring solutions startups. The firm will focus on innovations in raw materials and fermentation, processing, food ingredients and upcycling. "We started from humble beginnings and fully understand the challenges involved and how hard it can be to overcome them," said Frederik Hoeck, managing director of GNT Group. "We want to help startups find their own successful paths so that we can reshape tomorrow’s planet together." Start-up incubators and accelerators can be powerful engines for growth, but you still have to work it. A big lesson I learnt while incubating Brisk at Founders Factory was that success isn't handed to you - you have to go find it. So it was great to see FARMYARD showing off their range of delicious canapes at an event last week with BMW. Just as pleasing to hear about the positive impact Hethel Innovation and Broadland Food Innovation Centre have made to help create a hub where food businesses can develop, build connections and grow.
