Nation-wide Police Unions have become policy pushing OPPRESSORS, 😈 👿 with no interest in COMMUNITY POLICING 👍, just insensitive 'tough on crime' laws 👎! 😤 😠 😡 "Police unions — organizations that represent police officers — are one of the most powerful forces standing in the way of efforts to hold police accountable for violence and misconduct and to transform the criminal justice system. Workers have a fundamental right to organize and use their collective power to ensure fair treatment and compensation. However, police unions do more than bargain for wages and benefits. They perpetuate harm, protect violent police officers, and create barriers to officer accountability and policy change. This site exposes their playbook. From contributions to politicians, to contracts and co-paganda, police unions use predictable and toxic tactics to skirt accountability for officers and block efforts towards reform. Together we (ROMANS 8:28) can call them out on these tactics and take action to diminish the power of police unions." We are going to cut off the head of the snake, & WATCH GOD MOVE! 🙏 🙏 🙏 HOSEA 4:6 My people are destroyed for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE: because thou hast rejected KNOWLEDGE, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 😩 😢 😭

There should be a mandatory test that all first responders and active duty members must take to pinpoint depression or other thoughts of self-harm. This test must be such that trouble can be identified with subtle symptoms that give indications of trouble. This should be tied to classes to raise awareness to every member. In addition, spiritual help can be offered to those willing to talk.

Absolutely heartbreaking……. We ALL must do so much more to stop this crisis affecting all first responders. Sgt. Michael Sugrue - Ret. From The Rowlett Police Department (Texas) “The Rowlett Police Department is deeply saddened by the heartbreaking loss of one of our own. Last night, Officer Victoria Louise Bailey tragically took her own life. Victoria lived a life defined by service. From 2008 to 2011, she served in the U.S. Air Force, followed by nine years with the Denison Police Department. On March 13, 2022, she joined our Rowlett Police family, where she quickly became a cherished and respected member of our team. As a Field Training Officer (FTO) for six years, she was known for her dedication to mentorship, her commitment to building strong teams, and her unwavering sense of duty. The men and women of the Rowlett Police Department are grieving this profound loss as we face one of the most difficult moments in our department. Officer Bailey's legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We will honor Officer Victoria Louise Bailey #1248 for her service, and we humbly ask for the community's support and understanding as we navigate this painful time together.” Michael Denning Chief of Police

Great piece on prisons last night from approx. 17.50 in. One question springs to mind, considering the state of our system should anyone being released from prison be low risk of reoffending? https://lnkd.in/eHgSiRMf

Madison, WI, is facing budget cuts that could impact the city's Police Civilian Oversight Board and Office of the Independent Monitor. When the Quattrone Center led a joint community/police Sentinel Event Review looking into law enforcement responses to protests after the murder of George Floyd, we had open, honest, and objective conversations among police and community members on how to improve the system. When accountability is about how we get better over time and not just about punishment, the system improves. Madison is definitely capable of that, and structures to keep those conversations going are important. Here's a thoughtful piece on what Madison's potential cuts could mean for policing and public safety: https://lnkd.in/ef-vhjen
