**ATTENTION** NHS / Infection Preventionists ‼️ Choosing to remain willfully ignorant can have serious consequences, as it closes off opportunities for growth, learning, understanding and ultimately PROTECTION. By deliberately ignoring information or facts that challenge your 🫵beliefs or perspectives, you limit your ability to make informed decisions and navigate the complexities of transmission. Embracing a willingness to engage with new ideas is key to service improvement and development, while willful ignorance can lead to missed opportunities, and ultimately hinder your ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment. https://lnkd.in/eG5J4cGH

Sharing the Cause of Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) I’m deeply passionate about raising awareness for Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD). PCD is a rare genetic condition that affects the tiny, hair-like structures in our respiratory system called cilia. When cilia don’t function properly, it can lead to chronic lung infections, sinus problems, and even fertility issues. Despite its impact, many people have never heard of PCD, and that's why it's so important to spread the word. By sharing my own experiences and educating others, I hope to help people recognize the symptoms early, push for better diagnostics, and ultimately support research toward better treatments. Every conversation about PCD is a step toward better understanding and care for those living with this condition. Together, we can make a difference by shining a light on PCD and ensuring that no one feels alone in their diagnosis. #pcd #awareness

That is maybe the most effective picture to point out one of our biggest challenges. We have to extend the attendance of our physician specialists (e.g. cardiologists, gastroenterologists) to provide specialist‘s care and non-urgent procedures among the longest period of the day (let’s say 7:00 a.m. - 22.00 pm). I‘m sure we will put our care on a higher level of quality, reduce costs, pushing up the capability of patient-treatments and prevent overcrowding in ED. I‘m looking foreward motivating enough colleagues to make this happen. Thanx for a great picture.
The challenge with weekend discharges is probably closely linked to the state of the hospital's staff car park on a Friday afternoon. 🚗... 🚙... 🏥 🚑🚑🚑 🚑...
