Topical Content: Cyclone Dana: A Call to Action for Stray Dogs in India As Cyclone Dana makes landfall on the eastern coast of India, we can observe its destructive impact on helpless animals such as stray dogs. The sheer intensity of the storm brings in its wake heavy downpours and severe winds leaving myriad street dogs in lurch. Stray dogs who often look for shelter under trees or in desolate buildings, find themselves susceptible to the elements during such harsh weather. With many areas experiencing waterlogging, food and water sources are hard to find for these hapless animals making survival even more challenging. Local animal shelters and rescue organizations are overburdened and pushed to their limits as they try to provide care, food, and shelter to the affected strays. Many groups are doing their best to rescue dogs from perilous situations, but they need our support! Here’s how you can help: 1.    Donate: Consider donating to local animal shelters or NGOs engaged in stray welfare. Even bare minimum contributions can help in providing in the long run. 2.    Volunteer: If you're in an impacted area, consider giving your time to assist rescue operations or provide makeshift shelter for stray dogs. 3.    Spread Awareness: Share this post to create and spread awareness about the plight of stray dogs during natural calamities.
