🎉 Feeling Grateful and Inspired at Hexaware Technologies! 🚀 As I sipped on my morning coffee today, I stumbled upon an article showcasing the amazing workplace cultures at giants like Google, Amazon, and Deloitte. It got me thinking about the incredible journey I've been on with Hexaware Technologies. Working here has been nothing short of a dream. From the moment I joined, I've been surrounded by innovation, creativity, and a team that feels more like family. At Hexaware, it's not just about the perks (though, let's be honest, they're pretty great too 😉). It's about creating an environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and motivated to reach their fullest potential. It's about the late-night brainstorming sessions, the endless opportunities for personal and professional development, and the genuine care for each employee's well-being. So, I couldn't be prouder to be a part of the Hexaware family. Building a positive workplace culture is key to productivity, engagement, and well-being. A clear company mission fosters trust, respect, and collective growth, while factors like wellness, inclusivity, and recognition are crucial. In India, Infosys and Tata Group set high standards for employee support. Infosys’ HALE program, launched in 2008, focuses on wellness, work-life balance, and mental health support. Tata Group’s Second Career Internship Program (SCIP) promotes inclusivity by helping women re-enter the workforce, while Employee Volunteering Programs strengthen collaboration. To promote open communication, Google fosters transparency through TGIF meetings(Thank God It’s Friday), encouraging direct employee interaction with leadership. Adobe’s Check-In program and Microsoft’s flexible work options also emphasise recognition and wellness. Indra Nooyi at PepsiCo led with empathy, listening to employees and creating a supportive environment. Airbnb implemented flexible work arrangements in 2022, allowing employees to work remotely or from any global office. This policy promotes work-life balance (WLB), supports personal well-being, and fosters a culture that values individual needs and autonomy. Let’s make our workplaces places of growth, inspiration, and respect! #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeWellness #DiversityAndInclusion #WorkLifeBalance #EmployeeRecognition #Leadership #MentalHealth #EmpathyInLeadership #InclusiveWorkplace #PositiveWorkEnvironment #GoogleCulture #EmployeeEngagement #WLB #PositiveWorkCulture #Airbnb

If we were to talk of overnight success( or complete opposite of it) one name to reckon with is Ashu Arora Jha - the lady of the moment - The HR at Yes Madam- Everyone's Private Beautician . Well if it is a PR exercise - then its in poor taste and If its real( as most of us believe); then time to hit the disgust button. Whats more shocking is the story the brand narrates on its website about Life at Yes Madam.( Pic attached) The company prides at maintaining work life balance( the dreaded word in today’s time after Infosys chief berated it and Zepto ‘s Aadit Palicha happily recommended it to his competitors. However the modus operandi to maintain this healthy balance is a la #SquidGames style… where the repurcussions of loss are extreme. You are stressed… You are dismissed My two cents - Startups are not just about securing fundings; appearing on #Sharktank, grossing numbers and launching IPOs - its made of humans, for humans and by ( atleast some) humans. Remember that! Before you become the storyteller for your brand, do the A for Authenticity check. Your fake tales will live longer than folklore and do more harm than good. So be real before its too late.

💭 "When PM Modi is working 100 hours a week, the only way to show our appreciation for the things that are happening around us is by our work." - Narayana Murthy, Infosys cofounder 70-hour work weeks? No work-life balance? While I respect Murthy’s legacy, I couldn't help but recall that PM Modi is often said to work 18 hours a day, seven days a week—that's 126 hours! So, should we aspire to match 100 hours or aim for 126+ to truly express our gratitude? Or is this yet another example of extreme expectations dressed up as inspiration? In a world where innovation and productivity often thrive on balance, collaboration, and well-being, isn’t it time we reassessed what “dedication” truly means? Your thoughts? #Leadership #WorkEthic #WorkLifeBalance #ThoughtsThatMatter #Infosys

I recently came across a post where a junior advocate informed their senior they’d come in late the next day since they had put in an extra hour that day. A small moment, but it made me pause. It wasn’t just about time—it was about accountability and respect for boundaries. However, there are several viewpoints on Twitter and the background story of what led to this message. But the concern here is not the tweet, it is about our relationship with work. Another hot news on this is that of N. R. Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys. He expressed disappointment over India’s shift to a 5-day work week, fearing it reflects a decline in our work ethic. This brings up an important question: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭? The phrase “work-life balance” often feels like a tug-of-war. We try so hard to juggle work and personal life that we end up stressed about both. What if we reframed it as 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭 instead? It’s not about working less or more but working better. Because when you’re rested, happy, and fulfilled, you naturally show up more responsibly and productively. As professionals, we owe it to ourselves and our teams to get this balance right—not as a struggle but as a way to produce quality outputs. After all, sustainable success isn’t built in a single day; it’s built on the energy you bring daily. Let’s foster workplaces that celebrate both dedication and rejuvenation. Because we don’t just work for a living; we work to live well. What’s your take? Is it time we stopped fighting for balance and embraced contrast instead? #worklifebalance #officetiming #employees #linkedin #dedication #happyemployees #success #balance #responsibility

Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys, has often shared his perspective on work culture, including the importance of work-life balance. While he has not explicitly recommended 14-hour workdays, he has spoken critically about excessive work hours in general. Some potential side Effects of excessive working hours are 1) Prolonged work hours, especially 14-hour days, can lead to severe health problems like chronic fatigue, sleep disorders, increased stress, and higher risk of heart disease. The stress associated with long work hours can also affect mental health, leading to burnout, depression, and anxiety. 2) Murthy has emphasized that long workdays might lead to increased productivity. In fact, fatigue and lack of focus can reduce efficiency, leading to errors, poor decision-making, and ultimately, diminishing the quality of work. 3) A 14-hour workday leaves little time for personal activities, family, or socializing. This imbalance can lead to strained relationships, a sense of isolation, and overall dissatisfaction with life outside of work. 4) Constantly working long hours can result in employees feeling undervalued or overburdened, which can lower morale. This may also lead to high employee turnover rates, which disrupt organizational culture and productivity. 5) Innovation thrives in environments where employees have time to think, reflect, and recharge. Long hours can stifle creativity, as workers may become too tired to think outside the box or engage in deep problem-solving. 6) Murthy has advocated for sustainable work practices that promote long-term career satisfaction and health. A culture of excessive hours may result in high turnover, absenteeism, and lower overall job satisfaction, which could be detrimental to long-term success. Not sure his comments were meant to please PM Modi or suggesting the youth to be prepared for excessive working hours. I would support his claim of working restless for a start up founder or an. Entrepreneur but as an employee working for 70 hrs a week or 14 hrs a day would be a serious concern.

Hello my LinkedIn family😊😊 Shout out to all who had to get to their journeys by "troski" today. This is for you and everyone else. 😊 Fast forward, I was getting home from campus as usual around 5pm today. I normally like the front seat, where I can really get to keep an eye on the driver and see what's happening on the road very well (giggles). Next to me, at the front seat was a friend who had then gotten to the junction where he would alight. I was steadily expecting his telling the conductor (mate) where he would alight at. Surprisingly, he didn't do that-he told the driver(directly). I turned to him and I shared my view on what just happened and I told him I was going to post it on my LinkedIn wall and ask for your views too. Now, can we get to do the real talk? - ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE 😄 An organizational structure defines how activities such as task allocation, coordination, and supervision are directed toward the achievement of organizational aims. Organizational structure affects organizational action and provides the foundation on which standard operating procedures and routines rest. It is important to note that, although there are positives that come with organizational structure as highlighted below,(It): 🏳️enhances efficiency, clarifies roles and responsibilities, 🏳️ depicts an organization's hierarchy, which can clearly identify seniority and lines of authority that ought to be followed. 🏳️ concentrates the expertise of team members. On the other hand, it has some red flags worth noting among which are(It): 🚩has long chain of command (causing delays in implementation of policies and feedback) 🚩has slow communication and decision making. 🚩 is rigid and inflexible... How has organizational structure affected you?😊(positively and or negatively) Would you like to share? Next when you sit next to the driver in a bus (troski), would you directly communicate with the driver or you prefer telling the "mate" where you would alight at??🙃🙃
