We’re proud to support Windmill Hill City Farm’s (WHCF) Big Give Christmas Challenge for the second year running. This inspiring initiative focuses on improving mental health in South Bristol during the winter months by offering supported volunteer programmes. These programmes provide safe spaces, a sense of purpose, routine, and opportunities for cooking that promote wellbeing to those experiencing mental health challenges, isolation and other needs. If you donate between midday Tuesday 3rd December and midday Tuesday 10th December, your donations and their impact will be doubled. To donate to the campaign visit https://bit.ly/3ZkNCOM

If you follow the Public Interest Law Center's work in areas like housing, public education, and voting, you may not be as familiar with our Garden Justice Legal Initiative. Community gardens are critical anchors in Philadelphia's Black and Brown neighborhoods. They have been shown to increase access to fresh produce, improve air quality, and significantly reduce gun violence and overall crime. Yet in many gardens, the neighborhood residents who steward the land do not have legal title. Many gardens sit on parcels that are at risk of being lost at a tax foreclosure sale to developers or real estate speculators. The Public Interest Law Center represents non-profit gardens seeking legal access to the land they have been maintaining, in some cases for decades. We use litigation, advocacy, community education, and organizing strategies to preserve Philadelphia green space. As you prepare to make decisions about your year-end donations, please consider the Public Interest Law Center. Growing justice is what we do here. You can support us at pubintlaw.org/donate.
Your donation this Giving Season supports urban farms and community gardens that provide fresh, affordable food to neighborhoods in need. 🍎🌿 These vital resources strengthen communities, promote health, and empower neighbors to care for one another. Donate today and help grow justice: pubintlaw.org/donate #FoodSecurity #GivingTuesday #TogetherForJustice
