One year ago, my incredible business partner & friend took a leap that changed her life and URD forever. After 17 years in the corporate world, Meg left behind the security of her career to join URD full-time. To say I’m proud of her is an understatement.
While our paths to URD full time were different, Meg’s was a long road of soul searching & careful consideration. She faced every doubt & challenge on her own, ensuring the choice was hers alone. That choice, while tough at times on her, and us, has been the most admirable one I witnessed.
Reflecting on this last year, the growth we’ve experienced is thanks to the steady methodical way Meg operates. Her focused energy has been a game-changer, helping us grow in ways I couldn’t achieve alone. While my creative wheels spin fast, Meg keeps us moving forward with precision. She gets us from point A to point B without (Kristin) detours! Her knack for follow-through, relationship-building, and putting systems in place has been a cornerstone of our success. While my creative brain roams, Meg is the task-checker, the system-builder, and the organized force that keeps us on track. And somehow, she does all this while being a rockstar wife and mom to 3 incredible kids. Being a witness to Meg’s strength & having her fully on board, makes me even more excited about the future of this brand.
Meg’s story is hers to tell, and I admire her quiet strength. She does not put it all out there as easily as I do, but I can tell you there is a powerful lesson in her journey. We hope it inspires anyone feeling stuck to take their own leap. If you’re waiting for a sign, let this be it: you can follow your own path. It may not be easy, but it’s worth it.
