Hey, hi everyone. Welcome to our success story series of D2 Learning. And today with us we have a Charya from Nepal. She's in senior architect at building energy efficiency in Nepal and she is now as expert. OK, so I will take you through her success story, how she became as expert, how she prepared for the examination. So I will ask her some questions and let's deep dive into the success story. So Divya, Are you ready to answer some of my questions? Hi Agnosias. Sure, great, great. Thank you so much for taking out time and coming on this call because we are compiling the success stories for our scholars as well as who are planning to clear this at expert examination. So hope your success story will help them out and they will delay the examination as well. OK, so I have a some questions that I will be asking you. So as you an architect, OK, so can you just share about your journey, how you became architect as well as what you are? Like doing in Nepal. So hello everyone. Yeah, like Arnos introduced, I'm Divya Zaria from Nepal. So my journey in architecture started almost a decade ago. So I have my graduation from Nepal itself in architecture and my Mtech from Sugarland Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in environmental management focusing on green building. So my journey in green building started from 2013. So when I pursued my master. 30 And yeah, so professionally I started with the the project called Green Homes. So it was one of the first projects in Nepal who introduced the concept of green or let's say sustainable building in Nepal. So I was also the part of that project. And after that I have been engaged in few of the disaster risk management projects in Nepal as a coordinator, as a senior architect and after that since 2 and half years. Have been engaged with the European Unions which Asia programs project building energy efficiency in Nepal. So this project basically focuses on creating overness, supporting in policies and capacitating the designers, architects, engineers or contractors or fabricators and the related Msmes of building industry in creating energy efficient buildings in Nepal. Super, super. That's that's great to know that. But but basically you're from Hyderabad, right? Because you did your OK? No, no, I'm from Nepal. I'm Nepali. OK, you need to Hyderabad for masters. Ah, OK, You moved from Hyderabad for masters. OK, that's great to know. Great. Thank you so much for sharing about yourself. So my next question is because I was coordinating with your brother, I think because he reached out to me. So what motivated you to become as expert as well as how was your training experience with us? OK, So, uh, my journey with a started almost, uh, three years ago during COVID, I mean, immediately COVID. So there was one delegate from India, Delhi AIDS and then I was introduced with her three years back. So since I was into green buildings and I was very much interested in doing this type of work in Nepal itself. So I engaged into one of the courses from Hayes, so DfT course, OK. Yes, yeah. And then I found it interesting. The app was very easy and very simple to know about the energy efficient buildings or green buildings and to know more about the concept of green building. So I was just waiting for the good opportunity to be as experts, so to say. So yeah, yeah. Because in Nepal we still don't have any keys rating systems at source. We don't have any course till now. Right here in green buildings or in as efficient buildings. So I was just waiting for the right time. And then, yeah, my brother, my husband, everyone really like pushing me that you have to take this course anyway. So now it's like the right time to start. And that's how I ended up taking up the course. And yeah. And yeah, so and then the course which I took from you. So it was really wonderful. It was very captivating. And then it was very simple and it was very easy for me to grab. So whatever you were trying to deliver and it helped me quite a lot for the export exam. Yeah, super. Thank you so much. Thank you for sharing your experience regarding the exam as well as how you became planning for this examination. So great. Great to know this. I think whoever watching this video. So you can also plan your examination plan to become as expert like Debbie also started her journey or her. Towards age expert in 20-30. So she became as expert in this year 22024. So you can also be a next next edge expert. Super great. So Diva, I have a next question is because you are from Kathmandu and Nepal. So did you give the examination on the Prometric center or did you give the examination from your home or how was the experience for the exams? We don't have any problematic center in Nepal. OK. So was online exam. So I was in my office. And then I get my exam. So it was totally online based and they're rare. The reason that people from Prometric to support me and how I did my exam. OK, so, so it was, it was simple, like the process was easy for you to follow, right? Yes, it was very simple. So I just went through the instructions provided by them and then it was OK to go ahead. And what kind of questions you got in the examination? It was from the training which you did from us. It was out of the course, out of syllabus. So it it wasn't out of the syllabus, but so while going through the mock questions, so I was quite confident that OK, this will be very easy for me to go ahead because that's what I've been doing. So what the exams were not so simple as I had expected. So actually, so yeah, many of the parts were covered in the training itself. So I had been. Going through the presentations on a regular basis for almost a week after office and then I used to sit and then go through the presentation some materials which have whatever you have suggested and then try the mock collisions. So that I did at least for a week. Yeah. So that that's what how I started and yeah, regarding the questions, yeah, they went to technical and then they were there to evaluate your understanding. I would say like. Well, yeah, like since you will be as expert and you will be supporting the clients and and the designers to get the A certification. So it it is necessary to have those questions to measure your understanding. So in that, in that way, in that sense the questions were like quite meaningful and then I enjoyed attending the exam. OK, great, great. I think the questions will not be. Easy and short while in one shot it will be tricky where you have to keep your understanding like how was your understanding from the training and from your edge expert point of view. So it was on the basis, right? Yes, so and also the discussion which we had during the training, like they were very useful for me to like understand many things and many parts about the ACE articulation systems, which helped a lot for me to send. Yeah, his exam. Super, super great. Thank you so much for sharing. Good exam experience because generally people face a lot of challenges while doing the Prometric because a lot for a lot of people, it's a new platform, they're not aware about how to give the examination, what things to follow. But I think this experience will help them to follow all the rules and regulations which Prometric has set up. So I request everyone who is watching this video, please follow all the guidelines before scheduling examination and before giving your examination. Otherwise, we will face some challenges during the exam. Alright, great. So my next question is if you have now are ethics, but OK, you are as expert now, So what is your future plans, how you're going to use this credential or what you are planning to do in your career ahead? OK, so so now I'm working as senior architect and I have been engaged to capacitate lots of engineers like us regarding agency in buildings in Nepal. So this accreditation will like. Andrew, my career and then also it was very useful to like have more confidence in whatever I'm doing now. And for my future. I'm hoping that there will be introduction about AIDS in Nepal and I will be one of the experts to start this certification process. So you are you are are you the first one in the Nepal edge expert or I don't think so. There are a few people around. OK, OK. We are like very few now. Very few. Yeah, there is. Uh, the process started by World Bank for green building codes and guidelines in Nepal. OK, Really looking forward to be one of the prominent experts in the past. The great great did all the best for the, all the assignments that you will have in the future. Super. My next question is to you, any input or any suggestions which you would like to give to the fellow aspirants who are planning to give this examinations? Any tip, any tip you will have? Umm, yeah, I think you should be passionate about what you are trying to do. It is not just for the accreditation, it's it's also for your learning journey. So I'd like to say all of the aspirants like to really be serious about the green buildings, they're importance and also know about the importance of this type of certification systems which will ultimately help to build a sustainable. Environment to live in. Yeah, that's all All right, all right, great. Thank you so much for sharing this experience and now I request everyone who is watching this video please take notes or takeaways from the Divya story and plan your examination. You can attend our next edge expert workshop. You can reach out to our team for the next expert workshop if you're planning to take also, I would request you to. Should you your examination if you're planning it, but first you have to attempt the, uh, training and then you can plan it later. So we have apart from that expert, we have a lot of other courses that you can also plan it in the green if you are planning in the green building industry for various other credentials. So I request just check out our website, detourlearning.com where you will get all the details. And please, if you're watching this video on the YouTube, please share your learning in the comment sections. And if you're watching on our other social media platforms, share your learning in the comment section. Also, we have this video available in our LMS platform. OK, so if you're planning to take this program, take this credentials. I look forward to see you in our next training. So till then, take care and bye bye.

🌟 Culture of Perpetual Learning?
I read a quote from Peter Diamandis in a book this week:
"Tech advancements in the next 10 years will outpace those of the last 100 years combined."
In other words, I could rephrase it as:
"Changes will never be as slow as they are now."
Even if these numbers are exaggerated, we all agree that things will move fast. This will bring many opportunities, but to leverage them instead of being disrupted by them, businesses must create a perpetual learning culture. Some examples include: ensuring tech literacy across the board, rethinking formal training models, embracing continuous learning, hiring for learning ability, having flexible and adaptive leaders, and embracing mistakes as learning opportunities. What else wold you add here?
Provocative questions to consider:
1. Do you know the essential skills your business needs?
2. How do you track what your team is learning and match it with company needs and performance?
