Achievable goals>>>Conviction>>>Integrity>>>Character Very often, people find it quite formidable to stare at huge monumental goals and they become so overwhelmed by it. It looks so formidable, that attempting to achieve it seems utterly futile, and thus, some give up too early and no longer consider viewing it as a possibility; never mind working and pursuing to achieve it. It is therefore useful that you break this big huge goal into smaller fragments; doable fragments that you can use as your monthly, weekly, and daily objective. This way, your life's goal and purpose do not appear too formidable and unattainable. But the daily fragments of this goal MUST be difficult and challenging enough to test and stretch your present capacity beyond what you are already doing! It is only this way that you begin to really grow. Then, this map and compass become your belief system! Write them down! It is very important that you write them down! Why? Because you need to review and recite it every single day up to the point when you realize that you need to modify or change them. We play a team sport. ⚽   Combining our strengths in one team brings us the opportunity to work on projects efficiently and precisely. Just like we did at JAKO in Lier.   We train for weeks and weeks in order to be ready on game day! Often the preparation is more important than the game. Without it, you will probably lose. With all our experience we now have it to win the game.   A part of the preparation is the analyses. That's where we go for a precise measurement of the space. We look to find the items that we should be careful for and find a solution.   Before the actual game begins we put our heads together for a last check-in. We go over the highlights. I recently traded in the 🚀 for a 🛶 and spent an unforgettable week canoeing over 60 miles through the Boundary Waters between the US and Canada with my son, Nabeel Ishoof and his Scout Troop. ➡️ 5 Takeaways from the canoe expedition: 1. 🛶 Focus on your stroke: Just like in life, progress is made one step at a time. Each stroke moves you forward. Obsessing on how far you need to go in life, doesn’t help you get there any faster — one stroke at a time. 2. 🗺️ Memorize your map, but stay adaptable: While having a plan is essential, adaptability to Mother Nature’s whims ensures survival and success. 3. 💪🏾Value every team member: In a canoe, as in any team, each person brings unique strengths. The big and strong add weight; the light and flexible bring speed. 4.🔊 Communicate, communicate, communicate: Clear and consistent communication prevents going in circles. This is true both on the water and in our professional lives. 5.🌄 Enjoy the journey, not just the destination: The beauty of the journey often surpasses the end goal. Savor each moment. There were moments of sheer exhaustion, but also moments of profound joy and connection. Watching Nabs and his crew navigate challenges, support each other, and celebrate their achievements was incredibly inspiring. 🌟
