IT IS HERE!! Register now. As promised when we launched the Rainbow Special Interest Group (RSIG) within Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau earlier this year, we are at the precipice of launching our industry guideline for workplace policy related to rainbow communities. This is the first for our sectors. Register for the launch event here: https://lnkd.in/gFKdersq RSIG aims to advocate for rainbow inclusion in the engineering, architecture, and construction industries. This delivery will hopefully provide all companies with an outline of the baseline or bare minimum expectation from rainbow communities perspective. PLUS, we will be releasing the findings from our membership survey which represents the rainbow inclusion view of our sector. The findings had some really good elements that show the progress is meaningful but some elements are not going as well as we hoped. Come along to the October event which will share this more widely. We also have the incredible Martin King 🏳️🌈 from Pride Pledge🏳️🌈 who will elaborate more about the importance of policy on Pronouns Day as well as Holly Rausch from The Diversity Agenda who has been the leading voice for inclusion in our sector and sets out the wider industry strategy for diverty and inclusion through bodies such as ACE New Zealand, Engineering New Zealand, New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Tuia Pito Ora (NZILA). RSIG is the formal pride group for the Diversity Agenda and is driving the industry improvement for Rainbow Communities. To become an RSIG member: https://lnkd.in/gQ9iWrug Josephine Graham, Isabelle M., Kha Pham Nguyen, Chad Selbert, Aryan Karan, Leliel Trethowen. #inclusion #diversity #rainbowinclusion #rainbowcommunities #divertyagenda #engineeringnewzealand #DEI #engineering #architecture #construction

At Commnia, we don't settle for good; we aim for excellence - and that’s why we’re proud to have been recognised with awards from Good Design Australia, Consensus, APAC Insider, Business NSW, Corporate Vison and more. But why have we been recognised? It's simple. We collaborate closely with the absolute best Australian builders - our clients - to ensure our solutions are practical, user-friendly, and truly make an impact in the field. Whether it’s streamlining project management, improving safety, or promoting sustainability, we design with the real-world needs of builders in mind. Our platform’s ease of use, intuitive interface, and forward-thinking features like SmartForms have helped Australian construction teams become more efficient, compliant, and connected, every day on-site. When we say we understand what builders need, it’s because we’ve worked hand-in-hand with them to build solutions that work. Thanks to this ongoing collaboration and feedback, we’re able to create a platform that not only wins awards but also wins the trust of builders across Australia. If you haven't discovered Commnia yet, maybe it's time. #AwardWinning #ConstructionTech #GoodDesignAustralia #UserExperience

Today has been spent in Newcastle, meeting a client that faces many issues with regards to their compliance across various assets. It was great to get out and get “hands on” so to speak. Upon walking back to the car, I saw this building, The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. A building I’ve seen on many occasions and thought nothing of it other than it’s a very good peice of architecture. Not so easy to maintain maybe but even so. However, as my first year in Scotland draws to close, the building provoked the thought of reflection. What positives have we achieved in the first 12 months as a team? ✅ Strong Sense of Team - we look after each other through work and personal related issues and build that togetherness that ultimately drives resilience. ✅ Increased our engineering capability through engaging with those in the industry and building a solid core of good people. Really important to have the right people on the bus. ✅ As a result of this, naturally revenue has increased, which now places the branch on a firm footing to provide sustainable growth. ✅ Remodelled our facility to drive efficiency and provide a training area to tackle a risidual risk identified as part of my ongoing analysis of operations. ✅ Engaged with others within the business to explore new opportunities and revenue streams that are outside our normal offering, yet those to which we are capable of. This again will allow the group here to flourish. It’s not been plane sailing, far from it but the hard work that each member of the team has put in, subsequently turned things around and with a few more tweaks, I firmly believe our Scotland Branch can achieve great things. Not sure of what services we offer? Reach out, you might be surprised. #compliance #heightsafety #lightningprotection #family
