Intelligent workflows and the intersection of AI and Humans : An Operations perspective. Information presented through myriad dashboards can be overwhelming for decision makers, who struggle to find the precise information at the point of need. I hear this increasingly when I walk the floor. “I have too many dashboards and information is available in various forms. It feels like walking through a museum where there is great artwork, but at the end of the tour the question is, what can we do with this in terms of insights or predictions?” Human managers are still needed to evaluate the significance of the data presented through the dashboards. Digitalization means we have too many dashboards and perhaps no one is looking at all of them. Hence harnessing the cognitive part is key .A recurring thought I have is about leveraging generative AI for the same ask. How might we leverage the analytics and existing dashboards to feed into a Gen AI tool to extract decision support and develop those capabilities in our teams ?
