If you want to do something in this world, then consider doing it for just you. But if you want to do something really worthy, really great….. then you must take yourself out of the equation and give it to the world. We must become less, so others can receive our actual gift and make it their own. - Melissa Faith Hart

Do this 1 thing and get ready to have your best day of 2024. Text, email, or write a letter to 5 people from 5 different seasons of life. Grade school, sports teams, middle school, high school, college, first job post college, grad school, current career, etc. Ask them to… “Share a story of when you saw me at my best.” Collect those stories. Read them all on the same day. Look for patterns in what people say about you. What words do they use to describe you? Do you see this in you? If not, what’s preventing you from seeing it? Save these stories. Read them over and over and over again until they sink in. This is who you are. Take ownership of it. Reciprocate this gift back to your friends. Tell them a story of when you saw them at their best. Do this with your team. Keep the party going.

Do you ever feel like a tea kettle–frustration boiling over, with steam coming out of your ears? Nobody likes to talk about anger in motherhood. But the truth is that most of us experience it–we just think we’re in it alone. Mom Rage doesn’t mean you’re a bad mom or that you’re failing. It probably means that you need some support. Dr. Ashurina Ream and I created a course called All The Rage: Raising kids with less anger and more connection. You can learn how to identify your triggers, advocate for your needs, and manage anger in and out of the moment. Right now for Black Friday, save $15 on the course (and ANY of our Mom Freely products). Use code BF15 on momfreely.com to save!

Have you ever asked your child what the other parent got them for Christmas, only to feel a twinge of irritation or defeat because your gift was simpler? It happens... But here's what you can do: Before gift-giving occasions roll around, have a quick chat with your co-parent. It’s not about competition or outdoing each other; it’s about making those moments special for your child. You could even consider coordinating gifts or setting a 'gift budget' to keep things balanced and joyful. Remember, the value of a gift isn't in its price tag but in the love and thought behind it. So keep those spirits high and make every occasion a win-win for the most important person in the equation—your child.
