As many of you know, Dave & I are passionate board members for Kids In The Middle (KITM) which supports families going through divorce. Today kicks off our 24 hour annual Giving 4 Kids campaign and we are asking for your support. KITM serves 2,000+ children and families through their counseling services. We are seeking your financial donation to provide much needed mental health services for children experiencing the trauma of divorce and separation. All donations are DOUBLED for the next 24 hours thanks to our matching donors! That means if you donate $5 it turns into $10, $100 turns into $200- you get it. No gift is too small and donations are tax-deductible. In Missouri, tax credits are 50% monetary back in the form of a MO state tax credit. This is an ALL or nothing campaign, which means that we must raise the full $100,000 by Thursday May 2 at 2pm CST. Our 2024 Christmas campaign is my final collaboration with Foyer Design. You never really think how much work goes into a campaign like this, and ultimately, is the time spent on it, worth the money raised? 💛 With this one we wanted donors to feel they were contributing towards something specific, so we narrowed it down to young people (the back and forth of creating a young person who is everyone and no one at the same time was a feat in itself) and specific items they might need (need and not want, even though everyone should be allowed something fun at Christmas). 💙 We wanted the message to be uplifting, allowing donors to feel pride in their contribution, but we also wanted people to donate because they can and want to, not because they have to. I think that is truly Aberdeen Foyer's Advantaged Thinking legacy in action. 💚 Nobody should need to prove their worth and value to have their basic necessities met, but tying the campaign to Aberdeen Foyer's mission was important for clarity and notoriety - Donate today to fuel their potential tomorrow.
