.....𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧! I’ve meant to share this for a while, and today I finally found the time. A few weeks ago, one exhibition wrapped up, and this week we’re gearing up for another one in Delhi. Over the past 10-11 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible team of cinematographers and videographers who help bring brand stories to life. They’ve traveled with me across cities and countries capturing moments that matter. But there’s something I’ve noticed, time and again, in all these cities and at all levels. It’s the way people call out to these professionals. More often than not, it sounds something like: “A photo...idhar aa!” (Hey Photo....come here!) “A video...ooo boss, kaha the yaar tum!” (Hey Video....ooo Boss...where were you!) Or worse, a dismissive sound or gesture. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬, 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. It reflects a lack of respect for their craft and humanity. I make it a point to correct people whenever I can—“His name is XYZ”—but I can’t do it every time. 𝐒𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞: Before calling these professionals out casually, take a moment to think. Try lifting a camera along with a gimbal for just 10 minutes. Feel the weight. And remember, the camera isn’t available 24/7 because it runs on batteries—and neither are the people operating it. They’re humans, not machines. They deserve a moment to catch their breath and 𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭. This isn’t just about camera crews. It’s about everyone who makes our lives easier—𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬. Let’s call them by their names. Let’s acknowledge their presence. And let’s extend a helping hand when they need it because.... 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕. There’s magic in addressing someone by their name. Try it, and let me know how it transforms your interactions. 🙏 😇 #beinghuman #humanity #respect #PeopleMatter

The Power of Professional Headshots for Actors 🎬 In the competitive world of acting, first impressions matter – and often, they happen before you even say a word. Your headshot is your calling card. It’s the first thing casting directors, agents, and producers see, and it can make or break your chances. Here's why investing in a professional headshot is essential. Authenticity & Connection: A well-captured headshot shows who you are—not just the character you can play. It gives casting professionals a glimpse into your personality, allowing them to connect with you before meeting in person. Quality over Quantity: A good headshot isn’t just about looking great—it’s about capturing the right energy for your specific roles. A professional photographer will know how to highlight your best features and the emotions you can evoke. Stay Ahead of the Game: The industry is visual, and your headshot needs to stand out. High-quality photos with proper lighting, sharp focus, and natural expression tell casting directors you take your career seriously. Versatility: Your headshot should reflect the range of characters you can portray—whether it’s your approachable side, dramatic intensity, or quirky charm. A professional will work with you to create a shot that reflects your casting potential. In today’s digital age, an eye-catching, professional headshot is essential for your online presence, from your actor’s portfolio to your LinkedIn profile, and beyond. If you’re serious about your acting career, make sure your headshot works as hard as you do. 💼🎭 #ActorTips #ProfessionalHeadshot #ActingCareer #CastingCall #ActorsOfLinkedIn #HeadshotPhotography #ActorLife #ShowBiz https://lnkd.in/esAHx5_R

PRICING AS A BEGINNER IN THE CREATIVE WORLD As a creative person, most especially as a beginner, one of the key things to get sorted as early as possible is not to undervalue yourself. Yes! Before money, one needs to garner all the experiences in order to find a solid root in the creative world. But also, the skills of negotiations must not be swept under the carpet. This is more important, in a world where everyone is ready to rip you off, without giving a fck about where you are coming from. Here is my mechanism of scaling the early stages and getting your PRICING RIGHT, at least. As a creative, the power of collaboration is huge. Collaborating with senior colleagues in the industry will go a long way in shaping your journey in the creative world. Not just that, be a curious cat. You can never go wrong by asking a question. WILL THERE EVER BE A RIGHT PRICING? HELL NO — BUT AT THE END, CREATIVE SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY CHARGE 🤑🤭🤗 I wish everyone a fruitful and blessed week ahead. #adewalevisuals #cinematographer #videographer #videoeditor #musicvideo #creativedirector #documentary #documentaryeditor #mediaproductions
