#CraftGin #WeekendMarkets #Distillers Have you noticed how every weekend market feels like a mini gin festival? 🍸 It’s like everywhere you turn, there's another distiller trying to showcase their latest craft gin concoction. So what's really going on here? Is it some kind of mid-life crisis for many, or is it simply a matter of low production costs and high profit margins? 🤔 Let’s talk about a few points that make this gin boom puzzling: Accessibility: Making gin isn’t rocket science. The base ingredients aren’t that expensive, which means distillers can whip up a batch without breaking the bank. 💵 This often results in a flood of options, making it feel less special. Taste Debates: A lot of gins just taste like… well, gin. Some folks argue that the classic gin & tonic combo leaves much to be desired. If the flavor profile is too similar across various brands, it begs the question: why are we so obsessed? 🤷♂️ Marketing Magic: Fancy labels and quirky stories can sometimes ma... I thought I'd share some Gin-based stuff for a slight change. I did something new and fun yesterday, I'm not comfortable public speaking so when I got asked to do a demo at a food festival it presented me with a couple of challenges. Nerves aside, how do I do a live demo involving Gin and what the hell do I talk about? Rather than do the "talk" about all of my produce or the classic, cocktail-making demo. I decided to go with a live Gin distilling. In around 45 minutes, I made a development Gin that I am working on. I got to talk about the distilling process, speak about how I go about choosing the ingredients, how they are prepared, the tools and techniques and talk about Gin in general. It was a bit of a risk as it's a recipe that I'd not fully tried before but life is about taking risks right? Fortunately, it was delicious! Could the demo have been a little more polished? Absolutely... Will I be doing it again... given the chance... yeah, I think it really worked to make a gin live in front of people so that they can experience it immediately. I love what I do and it was glorious to share it with an audience. keep your eyes on https://lnkd.in/e9Xdjs3D I think there may be a new one coming soon! #craftgin #recipedevelopment #distilling

Time for a vintage winter warmer to add to your holiday repteoire? Amongst the most popular gin drinks during London’s winter of 1822, Gin Twist was immortalised in a 149-line poem as well as in several shorter poems published in London newspapers. It was a remarkably simple drink made with gin, sugar, water, lemon juice and a lemon twist garnish to prove the concoction was made with fresh lemon juice—a true luxury back then, the Gin Twist still offers a superior drink today. Ingredients: 50 ml gin 25 ml simple syrup (or a tablespoon of white sugar) 25 ml fresh lemon juice 75-100ml boiling water Method: Combine ingredients in a teacup or Irish coffee mug. Stir. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Citrus has long been a fan favorite of mixologists. From limes and lemons to oranges and even pineapple, its sour and zesty profile adds a welcome complexity to a myriad of cocktails. In the classic whiskey sour, the brightness of freshly squeezed lemon juice and the warmth of the whiskey complement one another to create a delightfully balanced drink. Similarly, a twist of lime in a gin and tonic accentuates the botanical complexity of the cocktail. Arguably, no Gin and Tonic is complete without it. Innovative mixologists continue to experiment with a variety of unlikely combinations. Take, for instance, Old Fashioneds made from whiskey or Negronis with a touch of orange zest. In the realm of cocktail creation, your imagination is the limit.🍸 #CitrusCocktails #MixologyFavorites #WhiskeySourDelight #GinandTonicTwist #InnovativeMixology #ClassicCocktailTwists #CocktailCreations #CheersToImagination #CitrusZest #MixologistMagic

Tip: Essential tools for your home bar. 1. Cocktail shaker: Use a jigger to measure your ingredients and put ice in, then use the cocktail shaker to mix and chill your cocktails. 2. Muddler: A tool for gently pressing and twisting herbs or fruit, crushing them to release the perfect flavors from them. #TipsandTricks #GinCocktails #Gin #Gincocktail #Vodka #Elevatedvodka #Essential #tools #homebar #alcohol #makingdrinks

Whiskey Wizards and Alligator Char: A Match Made in Barrel Heaven? Ever wondered what makes your whiskey taste so magical? Well, I might just have a nugget of wisdom to share. I've been reading about the craft behind the barrels at distilleries like Castle & Key and Bardstown Bourbon Company that use a #4 alligator char. Now, that might sound like something straight out of a swampy fairy tale, but it's actually the secret sauce—or should I say char? It's a super-charred barrel that gives whiskey its kick and deep flavor. Did you know that "alligator" refers to the roughness of the char on the wood, likening it to alligator skin? Pretty cool, huh? But here's the scoop from my corner: Not all whiskey needs to wrestle with an alligator to be superb. At Supergay Spirits, we believe in the flair each spirit brings to the table without needing the heaviest char. This aligns with our value of highlighting every spirit's unique character—just like we celebrate every individual's uniqueness. So, while those gator-level chars create bold flavors, remember, there's room for every style in the grand distillery of life. And always keep it super, never shy. 🌈✨ If you've got a thirst for more whiskey wisdom, take a peek at the article: [Article link]https://buff.ly/3z6JVTf Spirits Co. Looking to try a new rum? Check out recommendations from Tony Sachs in Robb Report. One of his picks, includes #DonQRum made at Destileria Serralles,Inc. Don Q is produced at Destileria Serralles in Puerto Rico, which has been making rum since 1865—it’s the oldest distillery on the island and is still family-owned. Puerto Rican rum is quite light in general, and in this case, that’s where the cask finish is extra beneficial. Aged for five to eight years in ex-bourbon barrels, it’s then matured another three years in ex-European tawny port casks (the brand isn’t specified). Bottled at 40 percent ABV, the port finish gives the rum a more substantial mouthfeel and a nice burst of flavor. Many Port cask-matured spirits can taste overly sweet and jammy, but the fruity notes here are dry and elegant. The finishing was done judiciously in this case, resulting in a beautifully balanced rum that works as a sipper or in cocktails—give it a go in a rum Old Fashioned or perhaps a Corn N’ Oil. Happy Friday - Here's a recipe for Property Management Iced Tea to start your weekend: Ingredients: 1/2 oz Vodka (representing those endless phone calls) 1/2 oz Rum (for dealing with unexpected repairs) 1/2 oz Tequila (because why not, it's been that kind of week) 1/2 oz Gin (to smooth out the rough resident interactions) 1/2 oz Triple sec (for a sweet end to the week) A splash of cola (just a dash of normalcy) A squeeze of fresh lemon (to cut through the week's stress) Instructions: Fill a shaker with ice and pour in the vodka, rum, tequila, gin, and triple sec. Shake well to mix all the 'problems' of the week together. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with a splash of cola for a little bit of sweetness to remind you of the successes. Garnish with a lemon wedge, squeezing it over the drink to add a refreshing twist. Sit back, sip, and enjoy the moment of calm after the storm of a busy week. #PropertyManagement, #FridayUnwind, #HappyHourAtHome, #CocktailRecipe, #RealEstateLife, #PropertyManagerLife, #WeekendVibes, #Mixology, #DrinkOfTheDay
