Appreciating the Unsung Heroes: Truck Drivers Keep the World Moving In a world where convenience is king, it’s easy to overlook the people who make it all possible: truck drivers. These unsung heroes keep the global supply chain running, ensuring that goods—everything from groceries to critical medical supplies—reach their destination on time. However, their journey is often filled with sacrifices that many of us may never see. Truck drivers spend long hours away from their families, missing important milestones and precious moments. They endure long stretches of solitude and face difficult conditions, such as staying in often overcrowded and under-equipped truck parking lots. On the road, they also encounter risky situations caused by impatient or reckless passenger car drivers. 🏆Recognizing and appreciating the vital role truck drivers play is crucial. Thank you John O'Leary and Daimler Truck North America for raising awareness. Next time you see a truck driver, remember that they are not just delivering goods—they are making personal sacrifices to keep our daily lives running smoothly. Let’s all take a moment to show appreciation and respect for the people behind the wheel, who are truly driving our world forward.
To celebrate Truck Driver Appreciation Week, our CEO John O'Leary visited a Love's Travel Stops to personally thank the dedicated professionals who keep our economy moving. Truck drivers ensure that supply chains stay intact and essential goods reach their destinations. John O’Leary met with drivers, offering a token of appreciation with custom hats and expressing our sincere gratitude for their hard work and commitment. These professionals spend countless hours on the road, often far from family, ensuring the success of businesses and communities. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge their critical role in keeping the world moving. #WeAreDaimlerTruck #DaimlerTruck #ForAllWhoKeepTheWorldMoving #TruckDriverAppreciationWeek

🎉 Celebrating One Year at The Shipping Collective 🚢 Today marks a significant milestone for me: my first anniversary at The Shipping Collective. As I reflect on this incredible year filled with highs and lows, I want to share a few thoughts. On the Highs: Amazing Colleagues! One of the brightest highlights of this journey has been the privilege of working alongside truly exceptional people. At The Shipping Collective, we have a golden rule: we only welcome aboard those we'd happily share brunch or drinks with. It's incredible to be surrounded by such fantastic people who are always there to lend a hand, offer support, or share a laugh. On the Lows: Tough Lessons as a Consultant I've learned that, as a consultant you can guide, advise, coach, and even nudge, however you're not in the driver's seat. There have been moments of frustration when despite our best efforts, we've been met with silence or indecision from clients, and yes, ghosting is part of the game... Overall: A Journey of Impact and Learning Yet, despite the challenges, what a journey it has been! Every day has been filled with opportunities to make an impact, knowing that every action and decision matters. It's been a profound learning experience, where I've gained valuable insights into the industry and the art of consultancy. Here's to many more years of growth, learning, and impactful work at The Shipping Collective! 🌟⚓️ #AnniversaryCelebration #OneYearAtTSC #ConsultingJourney #MakingAnImpact

We started on our annual #family adventure yesterday, but unfortunately didn't make it past Terminal 1 at #ReaganInternational (Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority) because of the storms and flooding in Florida. It was a LONG 8 hours with 4 kids + 1 kid friend in tow, but even with the disappointment of realizing we would not reach our destination, it was still an #experience I wouldn't trade for the world, for many reasons: 1. While in the line at Dunkin' (because what better way to get #beach-ready than eating #Munchkins), we heard cheers and loud claps. As we turned around, we saw a plane of senior veterans returning from a D-Day memorial trip. My kids quickly jumped into action by clapping, high-fiving, and thanking the vets for their service. It warmed my little #AARP heart to see how they put a smile on so many faces. 2. Even though I think there are opportunities for Southwest Airlines to improve their offerings when a flight is delayed or cancelled (can I get some free trail mix or a coloring activity for my kids?), the desk agent was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She kept a smile on her face the entire 8 hours, answering the same questions, and empathizing with each and every one of us. 3. We got to meet and exchange experiences with people from across the world. And while I felt like a character in the movie #Terminal, it was awesome to learn so much about people as they passed through the airport. 4. My 12-year-old son profoundly told me "Ma, it's okay - it just wasn't meant for us to go this time. Plus, I had fun just hanging with yall". To have my son say this, at a time when I was filled with so many emotions, was heartwarming. While we didn't have the experience we planned, being able to share in the little moments, mattered just as much. So in other words, totally the best #vacation where we actually didn't go anywhere.

Starting a new season in your life came be intimidating 📖! But when your Chapter 1 begins with poms poms, cheers, and a Red Carpet - it is a story that anyone can get on board on 🎉. This Monday we welcomed over 50 New Cohearts that started a new story in their life today. As I reflect on my 12 years with Coyote Logistics (now RXO), I am filled with gratitude for the incredible experiences, connections made, and knowledge I've gained. Stepping in those doors in 2012, thanks to some encouraging advice from one of my most trusted friends/colleagues Jack Gerstner, I had no idea it would lead to the journey we all embarked on together growing Coyote. From sales to operations and pricing, I’ve had the privilege of exploring the intricate workings of the supply chain alongside some of the industries' best and brightest. In 2020, my journey took a new turn when we purchased a farm. This experience has been nothing short of transformative. Time away from my corporate role in 2024 allowed me to immerse myself in hands-on tasks and explore a completely different set of challenges. I found inspiration in the daily rhythm of farm life, learning to adapt, innovate, and cultivate not just crops, but also new skills and resilience. Now, after this enriching chapter, I am excited to announce that I’m ready to dive back into the logistics world! The insights I've gained from my farm experience, coupled with my extensive background in supply chain, equip me to tackle new challenges with a fresh and very personal perspective. I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals and exploring new opportunities. Here’s to continued growth! #Logistics #SupplyChain #CareerJourney #NewBeginnings #BlueberryFarm #TalkingPoints #ConversationStarter

Fly with your dog. And no, it doesn't have to have a special vest or certification. That's the new pitch by Bark Air (dogsflyfirst dot com) A luxury airline experience for you and your furry friend(s). From large seats/beds to a dog park, they claim to give you the ultimate flying experience... With your doggo. Think this is a missed April Fools joke? Their marketing video ends with, "If you think this is a joke, you're not a dog person." But how do I take this furry flight? Currently, flights are only booking between NY and LA with additional flights to London. Pricetag? For 1 dog + 1 human, it's a whopping $6,000 to fly from NY to LA One way. So, what do you think about this new venture? P.S. On average, booking a private charter can cost anywhere from $1,200 - $10,000 per billable flight hour. If I'm dropping this kind of cash... I think I'll be catching some tailwinds on a private flight.

Whether you're traveling across town or across the country, it’s crucial to prioritize safety on the road: ✅ Plan ahead and designate a sober driver if you plan to drink. ✅ Avoid distractions like texting or calling while driving. ✅ Be mindful of increased traffic and give yourself extra time to arrive safely.
