■ As I step into my final year of college, I can’t help but look back on these last three years with immense gratitude and nostalgia. Each day on campus has been a mix of learning, growth, and unforgettable memories that have truly shaped me. ■ The campus itself is more than just a collection of buildings; it’s where my journey of self-discovery began. Walking through the corridors, I’m reminded of my early days exploring the vast network of labs and study halls. Our labs, bustling with activity, have been a place of experimentation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. The energy and curiosity in the labs have fueled my passion and curiosity to push boundaries, solve complex problems, and refine my skills. ■ Lectures, too, have been an experience in themselves. Each professor brought not only subject expertise but also a unique perspective that has broadened my understanding. The lively discussions and debates have fostered a culture of critical thinking that I’ll carry forward into my career. ■ Beyond academics, sports events have been a highlight, filling the campus with excitement and a sense of unity. Cheering on our teams and participating in intercollegiate competitions has taught me the value of teamwork and perseverance. These moments have strengthened bonds with friends and taught us resilience, both on and off the field. ■ Now, as I step into my final year, I feel a blend of excitement and determination. I’m ready to make the most of every moment and prepare for the professional journey that lies ahead.

A: "I will always remember the community of peers and mentors I had in Dyson. I learned so much from my classmates both in and out of the classroom, as they consistently motivated me to better myself and explore new interests. The atmosphere and support students receive and engage with in Dyson is truly special." Q: How will you use this lesson or knowledge in the future? A: As I enter my career and new opportunities arise both in and outside of my workplace, I will continue to pursue my goals and advocate for myself to access these opportunities. I’ve learned so much about confidence and the ability to assert my best self during my time at Cornell, and I plan to keep this learning with me in future endeavors. Q: Doing the greatest good is a big part of being a #Cornellian. How will you carry this into your career and life after Cornell? A: At Cornell, I have been engaged with social impact through extracurricular and course commitments across all four years of my time here. Social impact was integrated into so many aspects of my Cornell experience that it is inevitable that I will carry it into my future career and life. Although it may be difficult to have a significant social impact starting out as an analyst at a bulge bracket bank, I hope that later in my career I am able to transition to a career directly involving social impact. 📸 Provided by Matthew Sovik

✨ One Month at Cornell University: Ivy League Dreams Turned Reality! ✨ I can hardly believe it’s been over a month since I started my journey in the Master of Professional Studies in Management program at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management! Every day has been an incredible mix of learning, personal growth, and unforgettable experiences. The energy on campus is contagious, and being part of this Ivy League community feels like a dream come true. Transitioning to Cornell has been both exhilarating and overwhelming. Leaving my familiar surroundings and diving into a rigorous academic environment was no small feat. There were nights filled with self-doubt, wondering if I was truly prepared for this next chapter. Yet, each challenge has taught me something invaluable about resilience and perseverance. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned so far is the importance of community. From study groups to late-night conversations with classmates, I’ve realized how vital it is to lean on others during tough times. These connections have not only helped me academically but have also made me feel more at home in this new environment. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Professor Eric Lewis, PhD, the program director, for his guidance and support. His insights have been invaluable in navigating this new chapter. Working at Deloitte before coming to Cornell was a pivotal experience that shaped my professional outlook. The fast-paced environment and the emphasis on collaboration taught me invaluable skills in problem-solving and teamwork. I’m grateful for that experience, as it laid a strong foundation for my academic journey here. As I continue this journey, I’m reminded of the hard work and sacrifices that have brought me to this point. The late nights spent studying, the countless hours spent preparing applications, and the moments of doubt were all part of the path that led me here. And while the road ahead may be challenging, I’m excited about the growth and opportunities that await. Embarking on My Graduate Journey at Clark University School of Business. Three Weeks In and Counting! 🎓🌍✨ It’s been a little over three weeks since I started my academic journey at Clark University in Massachusetts, and I’m thrilled to be part of this community. It's been a whirlwind of experiences, learning, and meeting incredible people from all around the world. The first days were a blur of excitement as I mingled with people from all over the world, each of us finding our place in this vibrant, international mosaic. As an international graduate student, there’s always a mix of emotions. There’s the thrill of exploring a new culture, the excitement of diving deep into new subjects, but also the challenge of adapting to a new academic system. In these early weeks, we all seem to share that subtle blend of hope and nerves, from figuring out where the best study spots are to realizing that the first semester is all about finding our rhythm. 🎶 The expectations? They’re big! We dream of gaining expertise in our fields, building lasting friendships, and making a difference in the world. But also, the small victories matter – like getting through the first round of assignments and learning to balance it all. It’s a journey of both personal and intellectual growth. Whether through campus activities or group projects, we’re forming bonds that will last beyond the classroom. It’s funny how quickly time flies. From the initial flurry of orientations and introductions, I soon found myself settling into a routine. But even now, there’s a sense that this is just the beginning. The semester ahead promises new challenges, new lessons, and new opportunities for growth. I can feel the anticipation building like a wave rising before it breaks. As I look ahead, there’s a sense of excitement and curiosity about what the future holds. Each day, I’m discovering more about myself and the world around me. July is almost here, which means I’m one month closer to beginning my 3rd academic year as Dean of Students. Here are a few of my perspectives and thoughts about the role: 1. DOS must be a “Swiss army knife” when it comes to your skillset and solving complex issues. You will have to lean on prior experience as you navigate situations that challenge to you think creatively to identify solutions. 2. No day or situation will be the same, so you must be able to be agile and flexible as a DOS. You will often find yourself making adjustments “mid game” as you navigate your respective campus. 3. As DOS, stakeholders (especially students) will expect you to have at least basic knowledge of processes and procedures associated with other areas on campus OR at least know which direction to point them in to address their concerns. Seek knowledge so you can be an invaluable resource. 4. Establishing strategic partnerships across campus will allow you to be most effective in your role. It allows others to see you as a team player, while also allowing them to see your work and become advocates. "Second Year Blues: Lessons Learned As a second-year student, I've learned a few valuable lessons that I wish I'd known as a first-year. One of the best opportunities of self improvement is getting involved in societies. I thought I'd "figure it out" later, but that turned out to be a major misstep. Remember, second year is your time to shine! It's the perfect opportunity to take on leadership roles, network with like-minded individuals, and gain invaluable experience. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and join societies that align with your interests. A little oopsie I made was underestimating the importance of continuous learning. Don't limit yourself to just attending classes. Seek out opportunities to learn from your peers, mentors, and industry professionals. Attend workshops, conferences, and online courses to expand your knowledge and skills. Remember, your college journey is about more than just academics. A: What I will most remember about my time at Cornell is the people who made it so incredible. I was lucky enough to meet people from all different corners of Cornell, who have become my best friends. Along with this, my professors offered me so much support and guidance throughout my school career that will no doubt leave a lasting impact. Q: What is the most valuable thing you learned in your time at Cornell? A: The most valuable lesson I learned in my time at Cornell is to always be true to yourself, even if you feel that everyone else around you is doing something different. In my opinion, staying authentic to your values and beliefs is the most important thing you can do. Q: How will you use this lesson or knowledge in the future? My final semester's Week 1 - 3 Overview! ⚡ I'm so excited to start my last semester! The realisation that this academic endeavour is almost ended is encouraging. The distance between my first day at Edith Cowan College, which I attended virtually, and my first day at Edith Cowan University seems unreal. This semester, my main objectives are: 1. Push myself academically to my highest potential 2. Network with peers and in other marketing-related events 3. Gain professional development 4. Enjoy every minute + get my bachelor 🎓 In these first few weeks, I gained knowledge about everything from global advertising trends to consumer insights and branding. I'm attempting to start my tasks as soon as possible to prevent dragging them. At this time, I cannot afford to be slacking.
