Whatever you’re transporting, rely on CFF from Thermo King to protect your valuable cargo everywhere it goes. ⛴ Why CFF? Five simple reasons: 1. You can control the temperature precisely – within 0.25ºC in chilled mode 2. Fast pull down. Get colder faster. 3. Low pressure refrigerants – which means lower energy costs 4. Thermo King parts last longer. It’s not just the cargo that has a longer shelf life. 5. Smart energy management. Everything is logged, monitored and measured to keep you in control of your cargo. Heat recovery is a common practice in supermarkets using HFCs, where discharge gas is diverted to heat water or air. But what makes CO2 stand out for heat recovery? CO2 is packed with heat energy, making it one of the best refrigerants for heat recovery. In earlier systems, you’d simply mount a valve on the discharge line, but CO2 systems today go further like the HRU (Heat Recovery Unit) from Danfoss. Here’s how it works: The HRU comes as a complete package with control logic built in. A controller signals the pack controller when more heat is needed for the water vessels. This triggers the pack controller to increase system pressure, boosting the heat output. It's that easy with CO2! Want to explore more innovations like this? Don't miss Chillventa 2024 in Nuremberg from October 8-10, 2024. The EPA recently Published the 2023 reclaim summary. You can find the direct listing here: https://lnkd.in/eHNMQ8TQ. The report highlights top-level activity, and we glean three takeaways. 1. Three (3) refrigerants from the Comfort Coolingsector dominate 80% of all refrigerants R-134a, R-22, R-410 2. Refrigeration gasses account for less than 20% of all refrigerants returned to reclaimers 3. Only 15 Million LBS were returned to reclaim The mixed gas amounts are no longer precise but appear low—not the same as last year. Reclaim is down 2% 2023 versus 2021
