Happy Diwali! All of us have received hundreds of messages about lighting thousands of diyas, millions of lights and billions of sparks!! That got me thinking....isn't it better to light less and conserve time, energy, money and the planet? That will leave more for working, reading, thinking, walking, meeting friends, experiencing, laughing and wishful thinking...sleeping! In the era of quick (commerce, food, streaming, fixes etc) we are tempted to consume more because it's free, effort free, trouble free and releases dopamine. We all know that "free" is a four letter word (begining with f:) and when you pay less the "real" cost is a lot more. More often then not you are the product!! So here's to consuming and getting consumed a bit less in the festive times ahead. Here's to working on the things we love, learning the things we want to, experiencing the joys of our planet and our people! Here's to "use less!" (and get less used :) What's the one thing you will use less till Diwali 2025?
