In this week's update, CE Hon. Tracey Martin discusses her recent visits with the Health Select Committee across the motu. From community-run centers to larger organizations like Ryman and Bupa, these visits highlighted the diverse challenges faced by aged care providers, particularly in psychogeriatric care. This stark reality raises the essential question: what would happen if these facilities were to close? Tracey also raises concerns about reports from members regarding delays receiving payments from Te Whatu Ora, adding further financial strain to facilities that are already under extreme financial pressure as a sector. Watch the video to hear more about these critical issues and our ongoing advocacy efforts. #AgedCare #HealthSelectCommittee #TeWhatuOra

So relatable 😄 A recruiter asked me the other day, "But which way do you think you lean more towards – brand or content or marketing?" and, for me, they're so intertwined and I love them all, so it was quite difficult to answer. How do you think about marketing without thinking about brand building and how do you do brand building without content? Of course, I know that they are areas of specialisation and, arguably, I am probably the most skilled in content marketing. But what truly excites me is the opportunity to build brands. Like many millennials in marketing (as the meme below so perfectly describes), I’ve worn many hats — gaining experience across PR, events, social media, advertising and more. But the key difference? Being able to bring all these pieces together – connecting strategy with creativity and execution with storytelling. That’s the kind of Marketing-Brand-Content Specialist I strive to be.
Too many to count.
