Is your success built on the small, consistent habits that shape your future? In Life Architecture, it’s not the grand gestures but the daily high-performance rituals that form the foundation of the life you’re building. Each habit—whether it's how you start your morning or wind down at night—acts as a brick in the structure of your success. Over time, these small actions compound, pushing you closer to your goals. The real question is: Are your daily habits aligned with the person you're striving to become? Now is the perfect time to reflect, take stock, and fine-tune the rituals that will pave your path to success. What’s one high-performance habit you rely on to stay on track? Share yours in the comments below, and let’s grow together! 🛠️📈

This journey marks my first time stepping into the role of a product owner/manager, and it’s been a learning experience. Along the way, I’ve been reflecting on some key questions: - How do we turn projects into products at Dark Matter Labs? Understanding that expectations of output (and the labour and time it takes to produce them) are completely different - as well as team composition. - How can strategic design evolve into strategic product design? - How do we build products that meet real needs while also creating new demands that don’t yet exist? Permissioning the City team are documenting each step of this journey in our medium publication: https://lnkd.in/gcyikmZT
In the spirit of working out loud, the Permissioning the City team are documenting each step of our product development journey. In our first blog, we share learnings from our kick-off workshop in London. You can read our publications here: https://lnkd.in/gcyikmZT In part 1, we share how we began the process of transforming our speculative, research-driven concepts into a digital 'product' through horizons scoping. https://lnkd.in/guGsVpV8 In part 2, we dive into the process of user journeys and scenario building that guided our product decisions. By mapping how users will interact with the platform in a realistic context, we challenged our own theories and assumptions. https://lnkd.in/gErB8J-Q In part 3, we reflect on what it means to build products at Dark Matter Labs. Our approach to product development is not just about meeting market demands—it’s about shifting paradigms and provoking new practices. How do we balance the speculative nature of systems-change products with the demand for practical solutions, recognising that a product's relevance lies in addressing real needs? How do we balance strategy and feasibility? https://lnkd.in/ggakZsD2 Eunsoo Lee Eunji Kang Donghun Ohn Shu Yang Lin Fang-Jui 'Fang-Raye' Chang Calvin Po Theo Campbell Hyojeong Lee Gurden Batra

Beat the Sun ⁉️ People keep asking me these days: ‘Salvador, you’re everywhere! How do you do it?!’ I do it because I’m commited to my purpose, to God, my family, myself, my company and my community. 🙋🏻♂️ 💭‘Remember that… Hard work is a choice. Attitude is a choice. Discipline is a choice. Doing extra is a choice. Excellence is a choice. There are no shortcuts to success - you must work for it!’ 📈 👨🏻💻So, here I am on a weekend morning learning, planning and working hard, with the support of my mentors, coaches and friends, who truly know how much I can contribute to this world. 🙏🏼 No matter what, I’m not going to stop nor retreat… because I’m here to build on my purpose, contribution and legacy, even beyond myself and those who don’t support others’ success in life. #success #purpose #work #architecture #design #vision #adaptability #innovation #technology #sustainability #salvadorrivasarchitects

We’re excited to share a new look that represents a long-held belief—that what we build isn’t as important as why we build it. Our journey has always been about bringing a more human, collaborative edge to construction, and we're excited to share this new iteration with you. Join us in looking toward the future and reframing what it means to build better. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/geaTYRsD

Confession: Yesterday, I consulted Google Maps before exiting a building I've walked through approximately 1,000 times. I may walk with confidence, but my locational awareness? Let's just say it's not my strong suit. So yes, I love GPS. It's great to know exactly where I should go and when. But here's my take on balancing execution for now while setting the stage for an epic 2025: 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐬 > 𝐆𝐏𝐒 every time. With half the year still ahead, trying to craft turn-by-turn directions for terrain you're still imagining is a huge energy drain. Not to mention, those directions will probably need to be overhauled when you gain new perspectives from the top of the mountain you're already climbing. ⛰ Instead, focus on the map. Where do you want to go? What major landmarks do you aim to see? Which detours should you avoid? I don't want to alarm anyone, but 2025 is speeding towards us faster than a toddler running with Legos in their mouth. 😉 You're going to hear a LOT about planning for the next year—and rightly so! Spontaneity is fantastic for weekend plans, but not so much for a business strategy. For long-term planning, keep your eyes on the map (and make sure you and your team are working from the same atlas!). For near-term execution, dive into that step-by-step plan. But always keep that map handy. You never know when you'll need to reroute--or when you'll come across the perfect picnic spot. 🗺

I’m looking forward to officially start working on the INTERREG E6 project as of next week. Alongside my new Thomas More Research colleagues!! Officially… Because… well, unofficially fomo already kicked in a while ago. And so, I invited myself to the E6 kick-off event which already took place. And so, I immersed myself in ‘all things Circular Economy’ at the World Circular Economy Forum WCEF yesterday. The list is certainly longer, but 3 things which stuck with me: 👉 E6 kick-off: such a diverse, beautiful bunch of highly motivated people I will work with! (evidence in the after-movie Marijke Brants shared; her post also nicely summarizes what E6 is about and which role we will play: go have a look 🙂) 👉 #WCEF2024: legislation, regulations and investments are needed to outline a theoretical path forward. However, collaboration and experimentation in ecosystems are crucial to practically anchor systemic change. We gladly accept that challenge with our E6 project! 👉 #WCEF2024: Winnie Poncelet introduced me to the ‘Theory of Change’, and how putting the desired change center stage will lead the way. It remembered me of one of my favorite quotes ‘fall in love with the problem, not the solution’. Let me reformulate it to ‘fall in love with the change needed to solve the problem, not the solution’. As you can imagine: my expectations are high now. But I’m pretty sure this will be an enjoyable ride 😉.
Excited to combine two of my passions in new INTERREG project E6: the importance of 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 forward. How can data optimize operational flows for maintenance, re-use and repair? Can we define dynamic datadriven guidelines for decision support (reuse – repair – refurbish - discard)? Can we engage end-consumers to participate in order to scale circular business models for electronic equipment? The partnership of 20 organizations will work together to increase the capacities of cities and regions for giving citizens an evident option for Re-use, Repair and Refurbishment of electrical and electronic equipment. Six regional systems will test the integrated approach: in Apeldoorn and City of the Hague (The Netherlands), Nièvre (France), Leuven (Belgium), Aachen (Germany) and Galway (Ireland). Any ideas?
