The people team at Gusto delivered an incredible panel at the #ALPFA convention. Here's some of the key learnings I got from the panel: - Think two jobs ahead. Thinking one job ahead may take you to wrong decisions with short term gains instead of long-term goals. (Emil Yeargin) - Know where you want to be, be flexible on how you get there. (Nerissa I.) - Figure out what you don't want in your career, make decisions based on those non-negotiables. It's sometimes easier that knowing exactly what you want. (Monique Jackson, MBA) - Be careful not to tie your personal value to the company you work in. Jobs change, companies shift priorities or shut down. You can't let that define you.
