🌟 Passion Part-Time Project Alert : Break 80 with Purpose! 🌟 Inspired by Takomo Golf's bold message, I'm setting out on a challenging journey: taking my golf game from consistent rounds of 85-95 and a 15 HCP to breaking 80 in 2025. It won’t be easy—I'll need patience, persistence, and a lot of perseverance. But this isn't just about numbers on a scorecard; it's about building something more meaningful. ⛳ Introducing www.break-eighty.com ⛳ My vision is to create a supportive community for golfers committed to pushing their limits, not just in the game but in life. At Break-Eighty, we'll foster accountability, mental balance, and renewed enthusiasm. This journey isn’t just for personal gains — it's a community where progress on the course goes hand-in-hand with mental well-being. The Why???!!! Because I believe golf can be an incredible outlet for conversation, camaraderie, and asking for help. Through this community, I aim to support young men facing mental health challenges, offering them a place where they feel encouraged and understood. I'm a passionate, creative golf enthusiast who believes in the optimistic side of realism. Who's ready to hit your golfing goals? Whether it is joining me on this journey and join the 2% or simply give purpose to every round!! The FORE Movember Golf Tournament registration is open! We have an online registration form you can utilize this year – although we do not accept payments online, you can follow up your registration with an eTransfer, or pay by Cash or Cheque at the event. So why do I do it? The main goal of this event is to raise as much awareness around men’s health and wellness as I can. It's my chance to share my story within my community in the hopes that it will help someone else overcome their battles with cancer or mental health. As men, we tend not to wear our emotions on our sleeves. It's a common conception that men prefer to face their challenges head on, yet we can't do it alone. We need the support and encouragement of those around us. There comes a time when we need to step up, reach out and start a conversation with others to educate and learn from others and save some lives. Remember you're not just supporting a community event; you're supporting a GLOBAL INITIATIVE! If you're a man over the age of 45, it's time to take control of your health. Where: Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club When: Monday August 12, 8am tee-off Cost: $135 per player Format: Scramble, shotgun start (best ball) There are plenty of Sponsorship Opportunities still available – see pricing on the registration form: ============ Use the online Registration form to submit your information. Follow it up with your payment (eTransfer, Cheque, Cash) REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/gkfjkrgJ

🏅 Big Sports Events Boost Public Transport Ridership 🏅 Major sports events significantly impact public transport ridership, and the Boston Marathon is a prime example! 🚍🏃 Nearly 30,000 people signed up to run the 26.2 mile race, representing 118 countries and all 50 U.S. states, according to the Boston Athletic Association. Ridership was up by 6% on the Red, Orange, and Blue lines, with about 225,000 entries. The Worcester Commuter Rail Line saw approximately 30,000 passengers, more than double the usual Monday count. Roughly 77,000 entries were counted on the Green Line, a 70% increase over a typical Monday, marking the highest single-day entries since before the pandemic. MBTA GM/CEO Phillip Eng commented, "Throughout the weekend and on Marathon Monday, we carried robust ridership across the system. This further illustrates just how vital public transit is [...] and we’re grateful for the thousands of participants, Marathon spectators, and riders who trusted the MBTA to get them to their destinations, including the finish line." With special schedules and additional trips, public transport plays a crucial role in supporting large-scale events, ensuring fans and participants can travel safely and efficiently. 👏 #PublicTransport #SportsEvents #BostonMarathon #RidershipBoost #CommunitySupport #MBTA https://lnkd.in/eTywnv_j 📸: wal_172619

HOW TO RAISE WORLD CHAMPIONS "It is because I make mistakes, I sometimes run with completely wrong judgments, I have stage fright, my error rate increases when I get tired, I forget things but I just manage those human factors a little better than the other guy." - Maximilian Maeder As any parent will tell you, there is no manual on how to raise one's children, much less raise a world champion! However, what Valentin & Hwee Keng, Maximilian's (Max) parents have done with their three children offers a rare glimpse into what may be the 'optimal' framework which many parents seek as the holy grail of raising their kids well. Some insightful takeways from the Maeders (which may be hard to hear for most parents but are worth keeping an open mind about )are: ✅ Always having open and honest communication that deals with uncertainty and doesn't shy away from not having all the answers. ✅ Letting the children face challenges so they develop confidence to become independent and resilient in the face of adversity ✅ Homeschooling versus a conventional education (which by most accounts seem to produce an inordinate percentage of innovators and high achievers) More importantly, world champions like Max are just like everyone else: 👍 human 👍 prone to mistakes 👍 have fears 👍 has limits BUT he has learnt to MANAGE HIS HUMAN SELF A LITTLE BETTER than the next person. So, if you want to raise the next world champion in anything - take a leaf from the Maeder's parenting book. #parenting #growthmindset #honestconversations #freedomfromfear #embracefailure How Maximilian Maeder’s parents raised a world champion

A Swedish study comparing golfers to non-golfers found a 40% lower mortality – corresponding to a five-year increase in life expectancy. This compelling statistic underscores the profound health benefits of our beloved sport and highlights why it's crucial to inspire the next generation of golfers. We understand that engaging younger generations is essential for the longevity and vitality of our clubs. Introducing youth to the game not only fosters a lifelong love for golf but also promotes a healthier, more active lifestyle. Why Should We Focus on the Next Generation? ⛳ Health Benefits: Golfing contributes significantly to physical health, reducing mortality rates and extending life expectancy. By encouraging youth participation, we ensure that more people experience these benefits. ⛳ Sustainable Growth: Attracting younger golfers helps clubs build a sustainable future. It’s essential for maintaining vibrant, diverse memberships and securing the long-term success of golf facilities. ⛳ Community Impact: Golf is more than a sport; it’s a community builder. Engaging younger players fosters family involvement, encourages social interaction, and strengthens local ties. At Custodian Golf, we are committed to helping clubs create inclusive, engaging environments that appeal to younger audiences. Summer is here. More people want to find ways to get onto the golf course. Gonna do some signal boosting for people and causes I think are going to shake things up. 1.) FlingGolf by New Swarm World League FlingGolf 2.) OnCore Golf 3.) Legato Golf 4.) Fore Craft Cocktails Turner L. 5.) No Bunkers No Bogeys Golf Club 6.) Jonathan Sessa 7.) Liz Harwood FAMARA Limited 13) Jack Raymondson I value cooperation as well as competition. The thing is, even though we all compete for visibility, at the end of the day we all care about getting people more active. Whether it's golf, or just fitness and wellness in general, these brands and people that I've highlighted in this post care about people. They care, not about the bottom line, but about the people that these products affect in the end. Marketing tribalism is a toxic thing, and the moment that we realize that we can all thrive, and as a shout out to a buddy of mine, EVERYBODY EATS.

🎯 Ever feel like you're giving it your all, only to completely miss the mark? Remember, even when we miss, it's about the effort we put in and the lessons we learn along the way. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, right? (Clearly, I’m taking all the shots with everything I got, hit or miss 😂). P.S. I'm serious about improving my golf swing ⛳️—any recommendations for lessons or tips? Drop them in the comments! 🙏🏽 #KeepSwinging #HospitalityLife #CompetitiveSpirit #GolfGoals #FailForward #LearningCurve

Is your Jar #Full? In a simple yet profound demonstration, the speaker compares life to a jar, carefully filling it with golf balls, pebbles, and sand. Through this, he explains that the golf balls represent the most important aspects of life #family, #friends, #health, and passions. The pebbles stand for other meaningful things like your job, car, and home, while the sand represents the small, trivial things. The lesson ❓ If you focus too much on the small stuff, you’ll crowd out what truly matters. #Prioritize the golf balls—because the rest is just sand. #AtharJ #hospitality #trendingpost #trendingnow #trends2024 #motivation
