How many reminder emails should you send to prospects before meetings? Or should you not send any?! I usually send one reminder about an hour before the meeting, and mostly my clients share that they appreciate the reminders. Always be Closing. Sell sell sell. Greed is good. Show me the money. There are loads of movie quotes all about business and businesses but have you noticed nearly all of them are about sales? Sales and business development are vital to a business and I genuinely believe it needs to be a daily activity as important as brushing your teeth or having breakfast. If you’re not doing BD then you’re not growing as a business. However, a lot of BD gets a bad rep, especially cold emails. My question to you then is how do you do BD? How do you overcome its poor reputation? Have you ever tried cold emailing and was it successful? #businessdevelopment #sales #businessowner

Would you like to meet for a virtual cuppa? This isn’t a sales pitch. And it’s not a ‘discovery’ call. It’s a genuine connection call. So often, we accept a social media connection and never get to know the people we are connecting with. I would love to increase my circle with authentic connections. So, how does it work? You can use the link below to book a call at a time that works for you. You bring a cuppa, I bring a cuppa, and we both get to know each other a little better. I’d love to learn more about you and your business, your goals, what makes you tick, and who you are looking to connect with. It takes us from being a social media connection. to a genuine, authentic connection. Fancy it? Drop me a DM and let’s connect.

Listen, no one’s pumped to answer a sales call, but that’s because they’re expecting the usual pitch. You’ve got to flip the script—bring value. They may not answer at first, and that’s okay. Success in sales is about persistence and consistency. It’s not about making a sale on the first call; it’s about showing up over time, proving you care, and then, when they do answer, building rapport. That’s how you earn trust, and trust is what closes deals. Don’t just focus on closing, focus on creating a relationship. The key? Follow up like your business depends on it—because it does. #ValueOverSales #BuildTrust #GodisGood

Testimonials... They’re up there with THE most sizzling of sales pitches, but how awkward is it to ask for one? Fortunately, it’s a really easy thing to outsource – here’s my typical process: 1. Quick brief from you on what angles you want to highlight. 2. Seek approval to participate from your happy client. 3. Schedule a quick 15-minute phone conversation with them. 4. Summarise the chat into a few golden quotes. 5. Send back to the client for approval/to make any tweaks. 6. Pass on to you so you can blow your own trumpet in a less ick way. Banish the awkward turtle of circa 2006 fame

Sales tip #45: Have questions ready I gave a "pitch " to a prospective customer last week. The reason I used quotation marks is because it wasn't a pitch. It was more of a discovery presentation. I had the customers org chart, their budget and (most importantly) questions. There were about 10 questions I knew had to be asked. They were sprinkled around; one here and another there. It's so much better than just pitching a product! By the way this applies to prospecting too! You need to always be ready! Yes it takes some time and focus to do this prep but it's well worth it! Your one thing: Have questions ready!

The key to successful business partnerships is understanding your customers' needs and providing valuable solutions. Sales = Listening MORE THAN Sales = Speaking. I’ve been guilty of the word-vomit sales pitch before… DON’T be a young, immature, oblivious TJ and give your clients some room to speak 😂 Are you truly listening to your clients or just selling to them? #sales #relationshipbuilding #success"
