The Magic of Exploratory Testing in Agile Teams ✨🕵️♂️ Exploratory Testing is a superpower for Agile teams—it combines creativity with expertise to uncover hidden bugs that automation might miss. 🎯 How to Do Exploratory Testing Right: 1️⃣ Charter-Based Testing: Define a clear goal for each session (e.g., test login under stress). 2️⃣ Timeboxing: Allocate specific time slots to stay focused and efficient. 3️⃣ Use Session Reports: Document your findings and observations to share with the team. 💡 Bonus Tip: Pair exploratory testing with automation to cover both structured and unstructured test scenarios. Why It Matters: Exploratory testing adds a human touch to QA, uncovering critical bugs that could otherwise slip through the cracks. #ExploratoryTesting #AgileTesting #QualityEngineering #MedellinQA #TestingColombia

The Evolution of QA: From Gatekeepers to Quality Champions In today’s Agile and DevOps-driven environments, Quality Assurance (QA) is no longer just about catching bugs at the end of the development cycle. It’s about embedding quality at every stage of the process. 🛠️ Here’s how the role of QA has evolved: 1. Shift Left Testing: QA teams are now involved from the beginning of the development cycle, working closely with developers to prevent defects early and ensure that quality is built into every feature. 2. Automation Excellence: With the rise of automation tools, repetitive tasks are handled by machines, allowing QA professionals to focus on more complex, creative aspects of testing. 3. Collaboration Over Silos: In Agile and DevOps environments, QA works hand-in-hand with developers, product owners, and operations, promoting a culture of continuous testing and feedback. 4. User-Centric Approach: Modern QA teams prioritize the end user’s experience, ensuring the product not only functions correctly but also delivers a smooth and enjoyable experience. QA today is about fostering a culture of quality across the entire team, making sure that every release is a step toward excellence. Anything I missed?! "The client isn't happy because the QAs are not doing proper testing". This is what we, as QA engineers, used to hear a lot. It's not anything else but the cultural issue in our corporate sector that QA engineers face. The point is why this happened? Just one statement, "lack of processes". What happens when we don't prioritize the processes to implement: × Lack of transparency × Lack of commitment × Blame and bounce back game × Lack of ownership × Lack of improvement because you won't get an idea what to do as you don't have any metrics to track Quality-focused estimations and maintaining the development record are the keys to the quality delivery of the release. Agile and iterative development are the names of processes, focus on them. P.S. The video is about how the development team could commit wrong deliverable estimations when they face rapid deliveries and no time to focus on quality. #linkedin #qatester #release #qaprocess
