After ~five incredible years at Veriff, 2023 marked the end of an era for me. 🚀 I feel like I've been exceptionally lucky at being at the right place, at the right time.. I'll always remember before joining Veriff thinking that this would be a 6 months job, but from day one, I recognized what a huge opportunity there is at this place Growing from a small startup, all the way through a unicorn🦄 scale up, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to everyone who has been part of my journey, from the legends that taught me the ropes to the amazing teams I've had the pleasure of working with, each person has left an incredible mark on my career.. Thank you! To name a few of those legends: I'll start with Guy Zerega, from whom I learned how to sell a product on a fundamental level, and how to build a revenue engine that delivers consistent and predictable results. Duncan Steblyna, the wizard of simplifying complex problems in a way that I'm yet to see anyone else do. Margus Sütt, how to communicate with customers Indrek Heinloo, how to scale a business, and the countless thought-provoking chats. Caroline Mogford, for teaching me to aim perfection, and always pushing for 100% (and beyond!). And of course, big love to all the teams I've been lucky enough to be a part of – Verification Ops, Solutions/Sales/Revenue/Commercial (once in sales, always in sales!), and Marketing. As I step into the next chapter of my career, I carry with me the lessons, memories, and friendships from my time at Veriff. Thank you all for being a part of this wild ride! ❤️

🏆 Five Years, One Squad, Countless Wins There's a certain magic that happens when a group of people click. In my case, that magic formed five years ago when our ragtag squad was thrown together. We were all new to our account, a little nervous, and taking our time getting situated. But something sparked. Maybe my infectious laugh could break the tension in any room. Perhaps it was Pedro Vanga's uncanny ability to explain complex things in a way anyone could understand. Or maybe Franck and Aman arguing about who lasts longest, wide awake (these guys have endless energy). It was just the sheer determination we all shared – to prove ourselves, to make a difference. Fast forward five years, and let me tell you, this squad delivers. We've tackled seemingly impossible projects, pulled off deadlines that felt like mirages in the desert, and celebrated wins big and small together. We've got each other's backs, both in the metaphorical and literal sense of TEAMWORK! But it's not just about the work. We've become a family. We celebrated time together during our BBQ in Brazil, dinner in France, and breakfast together, and we had FUN! We commiserate over bad days with shared groans and endless cups of coffee (myself with lots of sugar, precisely four spoons). We know each other's quirks, inside jokes, and even the embarrassing childhood stories we swore would never see the light of day again (the rest of them all pointed at me now). Here's to five years of late nights, early mornings, and everything. Here's to the squad that gets things done, the friends who make the journey just as rewarding as the destination. Here's to many more wins, big laughs, and maybe even fewer printer-related near-death experiences. TLDR; insightful post on teamwork My 6 month old kitten, loves to do backflips while playing with her fishy wand toy. It's the coolest thing! When aimed just right, she can flip around about 3 feet in the air. But see, I didn't have to learn how to do a backflip to produce something amazing. I'd probably break a bone trying to accomplish this! Or at best it would take months of training. On the other hand, she won't do backflips on her own. She'll just look at her toy hoping it will come to life. It takes both of us to produce this feat (admittedly with minimal effort on my part). All I did was provide the opportunity for her to shine. Instead of increasing our own talents and seeking to be more impressive ourselves (ie, learning how to do backflips), it seems that if we ask "What talents and passions do the people around me possess?" we can vastly increase the amount of great things we create.

#CyblackSOCacademy Jun'24 cohort Update ✨ Alongside gaining LetsDefend badges, CyBlack SOC Academy ensured that our newly acquired knowledge was applied in a real-life experience. Over the weekend, I completed the first sprint, Cyber Threat Intelligence, where I conducted a comprehensive analysis of the "NotPetya" ransomware attack. This includes; 1️⃣ Conducting a thorough TTP analysis to determine the extent of the attack, exploitation and encryption methods. 2️⃣ Profiling the threat actor known as Sandworm Team attributed to Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) to understand their motivation identified as sabotage and disruption, which is usually politically motivated and encompasses various capabilities. 3️⃣ Identifying attribution indicators, such as the encryption technique, code similarities, malware used, vulnerabilities exploited, tools used and delivery method. 4️⃣ Investigating the threat actor landscape to identify other similar threat actors like the Sandworm Team that are likely to conduct similar attacks and understand their motivations, capabilities and how to prepare for them. 5️⃣ Developing robust mitigation strategies to strengthen our cyber security defences. Working on this task has enhanced my analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as improved my effective communication and collaborative skills. #cybersecurity #threatintelligence #cyblack #letsdefend
