An interesting read, do you think fully automating the lab is the way to go? They are asking for $10,000 for IVF in Mexico to use this. Money back if no baby. Although I think that’s double the typical cost for IVF in Mexico. If this is still experimental, I don’t think patients should be charged at this point for it’s use. This technology should be validated FIRST before being thrust into clinical use! We first need safety studies, not jump in and charge patients before it’s use is proven to be beneficial and SAFE. To try to draw patients across the border from the US to Mexico where IVF is not regulated should not be the goal. Charging patients double for technology that is not proven should not be how we validate new systems. Am I wrong here? What are your thoughts?
My issue is I highly doubt, this will bring down prices, I think PE/VC will try to increase profits, but not decrease costs or increase access to care. This will not eliminate the need for embryologists from the lab, if anything we will need to be more vigilant.

A typically thought-provoking analysis by Neel Shah delves into the AI and automation-driven future of the IVF lab.
Neel writes of Conceivable:
“This fall, Conceivable’s AURA (the world's first fully automated IVF lab) will debut in Mexico City, where their clinical partners will offer patients a $10,000 “No Baby, No Fee'' guaranteed service model….
Today’s embryology labs are a black box, the labs of the future may quite literally be glass-walled.”

I'm thrilled to share our AURA video showcasing the groundbreaking technology we've developed at Conceivable Life Sciences. As a fertility specialist, I've witnessed firsthand the emotional and financial challenges many couples face when pursuing IVF treatment.
Our AURA Workcell, rigorously tested under the guidance of esteemed professionals like Jacques Cohen, Mina Alikani, and others, represents a significant leap forward in making fertility treatments more accessible and effective.
The most rewarding outcome? Over 20 families who previously couldn't afford IVF are now expecting. This technology is not just about scientific advancement – it's about bringing hope to those who thought parenthood was out of reach.
Seeing the dedication of our multidisciplinary team - engineers, scientists, doctors, and embryologists - come to fruition in such a meaningful way is truly inspiring.
We're not just pushing the boundaries of reproductive technology: We're changing lives.

Would you want to save up to 72% of #embryo evaluation time?
With ImVitro, you can.
We know #embryologists remain the final decision-maker and will still want to look at their embryos, but what if there was an #AI-driven second pair of eyes that could save some time while guaranteeing similar or improved performances?
Our results show that you can confidently lean on EMBRYOLY to accelerate daily embryo evaluations, welcome more patients and focus more energy on tasks that AI cannot streamline.

🇦🇺 Aussie researchers are breaking new ground in embryo imaging!
🌟 Using a light-sheet on-a-chip device, they’ve developed an approach to capture metabolic signatures in live mouse embryos, offering a glimpse into embryo health early on in development. 🔬
💡 By measuring autofluorescence from a key molecule in cellular metabolism (NAD(P)H) this innovative technology creates high-resolution 3D images that can predict which embryos are more likely to develop into healthy blastocysts.
🧬The proof-of-concept study shows promise for safer and more precise embryo selection in assisted reproduction, with the potential to improve outcomes for hopeful parents.
✨ With a low-cost fabrication method, this technology could one day be a game-changer in IVF labs, providing non-invasive insights into embryo viability. Exciting steps forward for reproductive health!
